ARBITRAZ’21 - FINANCIAL FEST

ARBITRAZ’21 was an intra-departmental fest organised by The School of Commerce, Finance, and Accountancy. The theme for the fest was ‘Finance and Analytics Event’. It was a two-day event held on 25th and 26th November 2021. The event was organised for students of the BCom Department for all the first, second, and third-year students. The main objective was to challenge students in different aspects of business and test their skills in various scenarios and situations. This will allow them to learn, grow and get a more detailed understanding of competitiveness and Finance acumen. These healthy interactions not only enhance the students’ interpersonal and communication skills but also prepare them for the real world. The Environmental Law Committee of the Student Bar Association School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized a seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction. The seminar was conducted to know the genesis of disaster management in India, the event took place on 27th November 2021. The seminar was conceptualized by the faculty member Prof Amrutha Valavi. INTRA DEPARTMENTAL BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT FEST - XLLENZ‘21

School of Business and Management (MBA), organized an Intra-departmental Business and Management Fest Xllenz’21 was held on 18th November 2021 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.  It commenced with a welcome speech by Dr Becky M Thomas, HoD of MBA, followed by the formal opening of the event by Fr Arun Antony, Academic Co-ordinator of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. After the formal opening of XLLENNZ ’21 the events commenced with the students of MBA participating in various events. Each event had members from the four clans who were competing against each other in the following events - Best Manager, Best Management Team, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Case study. The events were scheduled simultaneously in different classrooms and the results of each event were declared at the end. WORKSHOP ON ‘DIGITAL FORENSICS AND CYBER CRIME INVESTIGATIONS’

The Department of Data Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized a workshop on 'Digital Forensics and Cyber Crimes Investigation.' on 20th November 2021 from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM. The resource person for the event was Dr Manish Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Master of Computer Applications, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. The event was attended by around 250 participants, consisting of students and faculty members. Inspira’21 was an inter-collegiate business and management fest conducted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The session started with a two-minute silent prayer. Miss Athmakuru Thanmayi Meenakshi from 3Bcom A commenced the session by explaining the Guest lecture series on Distributed Computing. The Head of the Department, Dr Vandana Bhagat gave a small introduction about Distributed Computing and began the session. The National Legal Service Day is celebrated in the country every year on 9th November. The day is observed to commemorate the Legal Services Authorities Act's enactment and create awareness about the various provisions related to the act. To celebrate the day and creating awareness among the students, the Legal Aid Committee, School of Law CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa campus organised a lecture at 2:00 PM on 9th November 2021 and invited Dr G Laxman, Assistant Professor Law, Dayanand Law College, Latur, Maharashtra who is having 18 years of practical experience in conducting different legal aid camp across Latur district to deliver the lecture through online mode. More than 75 students from BCom Financial Analytics and BBA Business Analytics have participated in the 3 days’ program. The workshop aimed at teaching the students of the third year batch to understand the basic necessities while greeting and meeting individuals at a higher rank. The workshop was organized in order to equip all the students to know and learn the importance of presenting themselves while in a room of people and especially during an interview process.
