The workshop was organised by BCOM (Financial Analytics) on 13th September 2021 from 9:30 -12:30 Noon and 1.30 - 3.30 PM by Dr Vivek Joshi, Professor of Finance, Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Corporate Consultant & Trainer. Workshop started with an introduction as to what Research stands for? The ‘what’ parameter of each sphere was to be calculated while keeping the 5W's of Research into account? A brief discussion on how exactly we can know about the target markets and business problems of the research was very well explained by the guest speaker.  Just as soon as we understood the concepts of a research project in much detail, hands-on experience was much required for the practical and thorough knowledge of the subject. Workshop on Entrepreneurship & Innovation as Career Opportunity

The exclusive workshop on Entrepreneurship & Innovation as Career Opportunity took place on 30/08/2021 at 5:30 pm. It started with a welcome speech by Ms. Lalitha Chaudhary. The guest of honour was Dr. Suku Bhaskaran, CEO, Larsun Inventure Pvt Ltd. The workshop was attended by almost 100 students. The welcome speech was followed by the speaker Dr. Suku Bhaskaran where he gave a brief introduction about his journey as an entrepreneur and what it takes to become a good entrepreneur. He explained various aspects that he considered before starting his company Larsun Inventure Pvt Ltd. He further proceeded by explaining how innovation can play a significant role in determining the success of a business in today’s rapidly changing economy. CUCA Inauguration Ceremony 2021

On the second last day of the month of august, the inauguration ceremony of Christ University Commerce Association (CUCA) was held online via the Webex platform. The event began around 4:30 p.m. and went on for half an hour. The host of the event was Pritisha Sarma of 3 BCOM A. The event began on a very cheerful note with a mellifluous invocation song performed by the students of Christ University. Everybody in the meeting was welcomed by Head of the Department and Programme Coordinator of School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, Dr Vandana Bhagat. With her welcoming words, she passed the baton to the Director and Dean of Christ (deemed to be university) Lavasa, Pune Dr Fr Jossy P George. The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus had organised a department level programme on Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2021. This day was celebrated to mark the importance of Hindi language in our lives, its development over time and its reducing importance and relevance in India today. The takeover by the English language and associated change of behaviour in people to feel ashamed to use Hindi was addressed by the students by the way of poems and speech. The students showcased their enthusiasm by expressing the value of Hindi in politics, democracy and other aspects of our country. On the splendid occasion of World Literacy Day, the WiBD Student Chapter at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa Campus organized a 5-day Quiz Series from 1 September 2021 – 6 September 2021. It was exclusively crafted with questions on Big Data, Women Empowerment and WiBD Organization for the students of the Department of Data Science. The finale of the Quiz competition was conducted on 8 September 2021.  The event started at 4:15 pm with 36 participants in the presence of Dr. Samiksha Shukla, HOD and Dr. Lija Jacob. Miss Arundhati Kolahal welcomed the audience to the programme and Miss Teres Augustine hosted the event. Marketing Monks Inaugurals Report

  Talk about fun in sales and marketing; the MBA Department of Christ (Deemed to be) University, Pune, Lavasa, has it all. The Marketing students started on the club inauguration of Marketing Monks in a fun-filled five-day activity session conducted and attended by the students and faculty. From time to time, Marketing Monks engages in intriguing activities. Four clans compete in the activities undertaken every week. The group encourages students to participate in activities that help them grow as Young Marketers by developing communication, leadership, organization, and teamwork skills. The inaugurals started with the first group of Marketing Monks conducting games and club activities participated by the first semester students of MBA. Innovative games based on market brand names were played, which brought in a spirit of brainstorming and teamwork among the students. CEBT – School of Business and Management has organized a national symposium on “Designing Digital Solutions for Water Management” on 21 August 2021. As we all know global warming is bringing about a rise in sea levels and increased flooding to some cities around the world, drought and water shortages to others. Water covers 70% of our planet, and it is easy to think that it will always be plentiful. However, freshwater—the stuff we drink, bathe in, irrigate our farm fields with—is incredibly rare. Only 3% of the world’s water is freshwater, and two-thirds of that is tucked away in frozen glaciers or otherwise unavailable for use. As a result, some 1.1 billion people worldwide lack access to water, and a total of 2.7 billion find water scarce for at least one month of the year.
