LA FAMIGLIA – Team Building Workshop

La Famiglia is an exciting workshop organized by the People Pioneer, HR Club, School of Business and Management (MBA). The main motive of this workshop is to inculcate effective team building and team work among the individuals. The workshop features five competitions: Solve the Puzzle, Dumb Charades, Contamination zone, coordinate and Leadership. The event was held on the campus grounds and saw a large turnout of students and faculty members.



1.Solve the Puzzle:

The first activity focused on problem-solving and collaboration. Participants were divided into small teams of three each and provided with a complex puzzle. They were required to work together, leveraging their individual strengths, to solve the puzzle within a given time frame. This activity emphasized the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and leveraging diverse skills.

2.Dumb Charades:

The second activity aimed to improve non-verbal communication and understanding within a team. Participants were divided into three teams of three each, and each team was given management related terminologies to act out using only gestures and body language. One member of each team will take the try enact the word provided within the shortest span of time within the time allotted. This activity is conducted in three rounds so each member gets a chance to enact. This activity challenges teams in communication and body language and understanding skills


3. Contamination zone:

The third activity is conducted with between two groups with at least six members each with two members blind folded. Each team member is allowed to use only one hand and carry a ball with the strings and reach the point of destination without the ball falling down and the place is contaminated with obstacles. If the ball touches the ground or if one of the team members touches the obstacles placed, then the team has to start over again. This activity challenges teams in many fronts including communication, leadership, ability to understand and follow.

4. Coordinate:

The next event is called coordinate and it is conducted between two teams of six members each. The team members legs with be tied with each other in such a way that the fist and the last member of the team will have one leg which is untied. Now each team will be made to walk through boxes which are numbered 1,2,3,4,3,2,1 which indicated the number of legs in each box at a time. Every member of the team has to pass through, and the team that should complete the activity within the shortest span of time. This activity challenges teams in various fronts including leadership, team work and communication and logical and critical thinking.



5. Leadership:

This activity is to identify the leader of the person who had the most leadership quality. Based on the performance made by the team members they need to identify the leader. At the end of the workshop the students selected Mr. Arunava Chatterjee as the person with the most potential to be and effective leader. He has showed many effective leadership skills
