OST Competition



The OST Competition 2023, held on the 8th of September, was an exemplary testament to the intellectual prowess, skills, and talents of our participating students. This event was graced by two distinguished judges, Dr. Jobin Jacon, the Head of the MBA program, and Mr. Jones Joseph, a second-year Marketing student who had clinched the coveted title in the previous year's OST competition. Ensuring the smooth flow of the event, our charismatic emcees, Mr. Rohith and Miss Nichole, kept the audience engaged and the atmosphere charged with anticipation.

The evening's proceedings began with a moment of collective reflection, as the audience gathered for a silent prayer. This poignant start set the tone for a competition that would not only test the participants' knowledge but also encourage thoughtful and insightful contributions.




Before the presentations commenced, the rules and format of the competition were carefully explained to all attendees. Each participating student was allotted a precise 7-minute presentation window, followed by a 3-minute Q&A session. This meticulous adherence to these guidelines ensured fairness and consistency throughout the competition, setting the stage for a rigorous and equitable evaluation.

The competition featured six exceptionally talented students, each representing their respective mentoring groups:

2. Mr. Guru

3. Navaneeth Krishna S

4. Mebin Biju

5. Ritushree Ghosh

6. Shibhin Joseph

The competition unfolded with an impressive presentation by Mr. Ashish Das. With eloquence, he delved into the intricate aspects of organizational structure. The esteemed judges, Dr. Jobin Jacon and Mr. Jones Joseph, further enriched the discussions by posing thought-provoking questions to each student. These questions not only tested the depth of the participants' knowledge but also encouraged them to think critically and respond with clarity and confidence.

As the presentations and Q&A sessions drew to a close, the judges entered into earnest deliberations. Their evaluation encompassed various facets, including the content's depth, the effectiveness of delivery, and the level of engagement with the audience.

Finally, the moment of truth arrived. Shibhin Joseph emerged as the winner, capturing the audience's attention with an insightful presentation and articulately responding to the judges' queries during the Q&A session. Ritushree Ghosh was awarded the runner-up position, recognizing her exceptional performance.

In his role as the emcee, Mr. Rohith proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks, extending gratitude to all participants, judges, organizers, and attendees for their enthusiastic participation and support. Mr. Jones Joseph, the previous year's champion, also shared his own experience in the OST competition, providing valuable insights into the transformative nature of the event. Dr. Jobin Jacon, the Head of the MBA program, concluded the event by sharing his profound experiences and encouraged students to continue their pursuit of knowledge and excellence in the field of organizational structure training.
