GATEWAY TO THE FUTURE: Pitching and Newsletter

Introduction: A thought-provoking event with an engaging Specialization Pitching and Newsletter Launch for students took place on 25/01/2024. Commencing the session were individual presentations by distinguished faculty members who oversee different areas in the MBA program. The event was started by Dr. Danish Hussain, the head of Finance Specialization. Dr. Anshul Saxena, who leads Business Analytics, Tanya Sharma, who represents Marketing, and Dr. Anil D'Souza, who leads Human Resources, then took over. In order, to create an engaging and educational atmosphere, each specialized head gave insightful information about their different fields, including course schedules, study areas, possible career opportunities, and placement data from the previous year.

Session Details: The event spanned an interactive session where students had the opportunity to delve into the specifics of each specialization. Dr. Danish Hussain, Dr. Anshul Saxena, Tanya Sharma, and Dr. Anil D'Souza took turns sharing comprehensive information about their specializations, fostering a deeper understanding of what students could expect in their academic and professional journeys.

The session featured a Q&A segment, allowing students to actively participate and seek clarification on any aspects of the specializations. This interactive exchange enhanced the overall educational experience, providing attendees with valuable insights crucial for making informed decisions about their future career paths.

Launch of Newsletter: After the specialized pitches, second-year MBA students introduced their newsletter. The purpose of this project was to highlight the accomplishments, skills, and news from the MBA community. The newsletter provides a lively forum for continuing dialogue and community development.

Conclusion: In summary, the program combined interactive workshops with educational lectures to give students a road map for selecting their areas of specialty. One gained a good knowledge of the academic and professional environments related to each specialization from the faculty heads& in-depth conversations. Students were able to interact directly during the Q A period, which made sure they had a thorough understanding of their options. The introduction of the newsletter gave the MBA program a vibrant touch and promoted a sense of community and teamwork. All in all, each participant found the event to be a worthwhile and meaningful experience.

Showcasing achievements and updates within the MBA community, the newsletter became a tangible representation of the shared experiences and accomplishments of the student body. All in all, the event successfully achieved its goals of providing informative insights into specializations and creating a collaborative environment within the MBA program. The combination of informative talks, interactive sessions, and the newsletter launch made it a well- rounded and enriching experience for all attendees, contributing positively to the academic and communal aspects of the MBA community.

 OUTCOMES OF THE EVENT 

Outcome 1 – Informed Decision Making

The event facilitated informed decision-making for students by providing detailed insights into different MBA specializations. Each specialization head shared crucial information about course plans, potential job roles, and past placement statistics, allowing students to make educated choices about their academic and career paths.

Outcome 2 – Community Building and Engagement

The interactive nature of the session, including a Q&A segment and the launch of a newsletter, contributed to community building within the MBA program. Students had the opportunity to actively engage with faculty members and peers, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing the overall sense of belonging and connection within the academic community.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
