Virtual Classes

No one had ever imagined that a global pandemic would affect people all over the world and one would be confined to a safe stay at home. Everyone’s life has been affected due to the ongoing safety measures being adopted to prevent the spread of a virus. CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa took the initiative to resume classes after a long break by offering online classes. The teachers have been trained through Webinars and attended multiple online meetings to be well versed with technology in order to teach the students who are staying all over the country. Some students have expressed their views about these virtual classes.

    Utkarsha Mathure (MA Business Economics)

Virtual classrooms offer all those tools that we need during this time when we are at home but have to attend classes. The application used by CHRIST University is a perfect platform for teaching and learning. The online classes being conducted nowadays are extremely useful when we are away from college but still connected virtually. The timings suit us and the faculty members are coordinating very well with the students. It appears as if part of the college atmosphere has been recreated for us.

It is a highly engaging activity for the students to interact with their teachers. The assignments given to the class are appropriate and help the students to be in touch with the current syllabus. The best part is reliving the scenario in a class as we share knowledge and interact through conversations. Thanks to CHRIST virtual classes have become useful and provide a great learning experience.

The timings of the lectures are well-arranged to suit the daily schedule. The lectures are beneficial and result oriented. The application is perfectly suitable for learning. There are no technical problems yet and the course plan is well prepared according to a virtual atmosphere. The faculty members are engaging and highly interactive with the students.

Online classes organized by our college is an effort to keep the students in touch with their course. With these classes we have again come back to a healthy routine.  I can say confidently that by the time we resume face to face classes in the classroom we would be thorough with the subjects. The online platform is a great effort considering the present situation. The teachers make it a point to ensure that the lessons are understood properly by the students and the concept is clear as they try to connect with students.

The online classes are going on well as the students are able to understand what the teachers are teaching. At times there are technical problems but they are rectified soon. The other problem that some of us face sometimes is that the mind is not fully focused during the online classes because of the informal environment at home. We also miss the fun we had while learning together with friends and the way our teachers kept us focused during class. We wish to come back to college as soon as possible.

Online classes are the ultimate examples for the millennial/GenZ tech savvy generation! Each day logging in on time and watching your classmates makes it appear like a real classroom. The teaching quality is not hindered rather it is in fact enhanced by the tools offered in a virtual classroom and the experience is incredibly close to reality. It is too real and we look forward to online enthusiastically every single day.

For students who have nothing to do and sit aimlessly, the online classes have come as a blessing in disguise! The best part is that the classes commence on time and the teachers are able to create a real class atmosphere while we sit within the confines of our home. I can’t wait to come back to Lavasa because we’ll be back with loads of information, experience and joy.

Staying at home during the quarantine period can be stressful and frankly speaking, the online classes that are being held have actually made the current situation much better than it could have been otherwise. We finally have work to do and the online classes are actually helping us to improve our general awareness regarding the rest of the world. With almost the entire world coming to a halt, it's good to keep moving forward, and the online classes have helped us to keep pace with everyone.

As an incredibly impatient student, the classes have brought such a positive impact on me. I changed my monotonous routine and find that I am much more disciplined than what I was earlier. The classes are conducted very effectively. I’m so glad that a virtual classroom nearly feels just like a real classroom. As part of teaching methodology the students are interactive and enjoy taking part in various activities.

The online classes going on right now are helping the students by keeping them occupied while gaining knowledge simultaneously. It’s probably the first time that I look forward to attending online classes and I feel as if I am actually attending the college. We are being a lot more creative, responsive, interactive and innovative than what we used to be. It’s a great experience for each one of us and we are enjoying every moment.

Online classes, a concept or rather a culture which is not very common in India, but this pandemic has made it a regular part of our life since past few days. Our college has begun online classes for every course be it Data Science, BBA, MBA or Law. The teachers and students are putting in a lot of effort in giving lectures during online classes and it is proving to be highly successful. The online classes are an instant hit because the teachers as well as the students are very punctual and regular while maintaining proper decorum. The classes are also very interesting as the teachers make them very interactive. The assignments assigned help in maintaining the competitive spirit among the students.
