An Expert Talk on “Implementing Managerial Skills in the Corporate and Beyond.”

The School of Business & Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be) University, Pune, Lavasa campus organised an expert talk on the topic “Implementing managerial skills in the corporate and beyond.” This was scheduled on 14 September 2020 at 2:00pm-3:30pm.The speaker for this session was Mr. Arindam Banerjee. He is presently working with Apollo Gleneagles Hospital as a Senior Executive in Insurance and marketing. He commenced his   career in Retail Management with organisations including Chroma and Spar Hyper Market. He also had an experienced in health care with Apollo Pharmacy (Branding and Marketing). 
The agenda of the session was mainly concentrated on how aspiring students can be a good future manager. Main topics of discussion included, Role of manager, can a manager be a leader and vice versa, Role of Human Resources department in a company and developing qualities that assist a leader to be a better manager and vice versa. Further each of the main topics were categorised in subtopics which included topics like Importance of team spirit, Employee satisfaction, Goal formation, Emphasis on Importance of constructive one on one practises, and importance of empathy in a manager. The session ended with an interactive question and answer session.
Overall, the expert talk was a very informative session. The usage of real-life examples enabled the attendees to relate to it and hence helped them to understand the concepts easily. It also helped the attendees to understand the real life and practical implementation of the management theories learned in the classes and gave them a better understanding of the Principles of Management. The expert talk ended with a Vote of Thanks by a student who expressed gratitude on behalf of the student body for the wonderful session.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
