Concerto Night

Music is the language of the mind which everyone across the world enjoys irrespective of its variety. It crosses boundaries and travels through people’s heart. It is known as a part of numerous cultures and societies, whether it is past or present.  After a long time away, people coming together always energises the soul and makes one feel more at home. The Student Welfare Office of CHRIST Lavasa campus organised “Concerto Night”, an event that focused on music was a night leave our worries behind and immerse ourselves in the melodies of our friends. The event was conducted in the new café in the management block- “Café Concerto”. The rhythm of the music, along with delicious food and the well-lit ambience, created a very wonderful experience altogether. It was the first music festival hosted by CHRIST, Lavasa post lockdown. Adhering to all the Covid Protocols, the event began with the performance of the University Choir Team; the crowd was astonished by the melodious music sang by them. The rhythmic beats of the instruments added an extra crown to their performance. Great music can do wonders by lifting the soul and making you feel good.

Next was the Open Mic session, and here participants were given a free platform to showcase their talents. Students exhibited active participation by singing, reciting poetry, dancing, and playing various musical instruments. The crowd applauded the mind-blowing performances of the participants. After that, the show was taken to the next level by Band Bash. The passion each of the members portrayed by performing the tracks caused goosebumps among the audience. Music is very therapeutic and is known for its power to heal and relax the mind. The sound waves created by drums, guitar, ukulele, piano and beautiful voice created an experience beyond what words could explain.

Finally, it was time for the Jam session, where the instrumentalists and musicians performed impromptu sessions. Instrumentalists vamp on tunes to engage the audience. The crowd cheered with enthusiasm and excitement. In between the events, lots of gift vouchers and lucky winner vouchers were given off to the audience. It was a truly fantastic event that connected people through the beautiful rhythm of music.

“Live your truth. Express your love. Share your enthusiasm. Take action towards your dreams. Walk your talk. Dance and sing to your music. Embrace your blessings. Make today worth remembering.”
