“FINQUIERO” - FOCUS ON FINANCE

Finance Club venture Rupika, organized ”Finquiero” on 3rd August 2018 in the Smart Room. Rupika intends to bring together students who are interested in finance and help them improve their skills and understanding of finance related concepts. The purpose of “Finquiero” was to aid them strengthen their basics in finance by incorporating a fun element to the entire activity. Time is premium so the event commenced at sharp 2:30 pm with a welcome note and video presentation.

Students of Batch 2018 - 2020 (Juniors) were asked to divide themselves into 6 groups of 7 people each for the activity. The entire activity had 5 rounds out of which 2 were enjoyable ie bonus rounds and the other 3 were conceptual in nature. The sequence of events was followed meticulously. Two hours were given for the entire activity and the judges were advised to evaluate each team on the basis of rubrics provided to them. The instructions focused on conceptual clarity, time management etc.

Out of three conceptual rounds, one was “Guess and Talk”, where each team was expected to guess the word and speak on it for a minute. Another interesting interactive round focused on completing a trial balance given to them. All the rounds were successfully completed by the students with a great deal of enthusiasm. The main round was aptly entitled, “Spend Wisely” or the bidding round  where each team was provided with a set of assets and 30,00,000 cash. It was imperative to collect maximum points in each round as it was eventually multiplied by a certain amount. The team with the maximum revenue was considered a winner.

All the teams showcased their talents by their active participation. Even though all the 6 teams were equally competent yet there was only one winner. After a series of exciting and fascinating rounds, the winners and runners up were rewarded with certificates and gift coupons by Prof: Soumya V.


It is expected that such interactive events will enable the students to face new challenges and opportunities in the professional world.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
