Invincible skills of Vikings vs Zeal and Zest of Faculty

The much awaited CIMA Futsal match was played on 1st August 2018 between faculty members and Vikings, the winners.

Faculty team comprised of Fr. Jossy GeorgeFr. Arun Antony,  Binu P. Paul, Sanjay Sahai, Benny Godwin, Ashish Wilson, Visakh T J and Manu Raj. It was a treat for the audience to watch Fr.  Jossy George (Director) and the faculty members play with a great deal of enthusiasm, zeal and zest on the field.

All attempts on the field were followed by a swift counter-attack by either side. After taking a surprise lead, Vikings felt motivated and geared up to clinch the coveted title. Vikings had a great array of players.

At some point of time it appeared as if the game began to lose its early intensity, with passes going astray. Soon the loud cheer by the audience motivated the teams to gear up for the occasion.

The faculty members gave a good performance despite some defensive lapses. The invincible skills of Vikings gave their team an added edge over the opponents. Smart passes along with their ability to change gears in the middle of the game meant success and they used the tactics to their advantage.

Faculty members' team put up a good fight in the second half, but their display was not good enough to beat the Vikings. Finally Vikings emerged as genuine contenders for a win because they had pace, skills and were always willing to take on opposition players in one-on-one basis.

The Vikings eventually won the match although both the teams gave their best. Dr Benny and Mr Sanjay Sahai got additional cheer from the students for a commendable performance on the field.
