THE GRAND FINALE

On Friday, 10th August 2018 as soon as the clock struck 2:30 pm everyone assembled outside the Auditorium, CIM Lavasa, where the Grand Finale of "Brandits", Marketing Club took place. The tempo was building up and it heightened the intensity and expectations of the participants. The much awaited event began on a high note amidst loud cheer.

In order to bring novelty into their team the marketing students followed a similar dress code or hat or band rigidly to make their team stand out. All efforts were made to ensure perfect coordination between team members. One of the events was P and N, which refereed to product and naming and it was an interesting yet challenging activity as they had to be creative and authentic.

Next activity was aptly called EP ie Elevator Pitch. It focused on an attention-grabbing activity which challenged the marketing students to respond within 90 seconds if they see a CEO near an elevator. The situation was given on the spot. It tested their presence of mind and prepared them to handle such a situation in real life without getting flabbergasted.

Expressive was an amusing round in which a photo was flashed for a while and the students had to respond with the most accurate expressions. It turned out to be hilarious and it was thoroughly enjoyed by each and every one.

Dubsmash is in vogue in the present scenario. The software lets a person use voice and eventually connect with the product. It is an attention-grabbing way to make humorous videos. Once favourite iconic dialogues are added along with music it becomes out of the ordinary. Every effort was made by their coordinator, Prof. Dr Benny Godwin J to combine creativity, passion, fun and enthusiasm to make the activities enjoyable. It is pertinent to note that a strong connection with the subject was not relegated to the background. The Quiz also tested their knowledge and Hula Hoop was fun to watch as they swirled to the rhythm of the hoop.

Dr Benny’s hard work paid and "Brandit" turned out to be successful. Team C, MARKICIANS emerged as overall winners. At this juncture it is worth noting that in one of the rounds Markicians got 100 points because they were thoughtful enough to gift a pen and thereby convey their gratitude to non-teaching staff. They exhibited message of peace and harmony and created awareness among the faculty and students by visiting each class. Their colorful dress code was quite standardized. In order to draw attention to the true spirit of Raksha Bandhan their team went around tying Rakhis on the wrist of kitchen and security staff to make them feel at home at their work place. Overall, the week-long event was thoroughly enjoyed by the Christian fraternity.
