Club Activity: 25th October 2025
The School of Business and Management (BBA) clubs at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized a series of innovative collaborative activities, pairing different clubs to create integrated sessions that blended diverse skill sets. This initiative was designed to break down specialized silos and encourage students to apply their knowledge in new, cross-functional contexts. The activities fostered an environment of inter-club collaboration, pushing students to merge analytical rigor with creative communication and financial principles with entrepreneurial strategy.
The Finance Club and the Analytics Club jointly organized an engaging and intellectually stimulating session that effectively bridged the gap between financial knowledge and analytical reasoning. The highlight of the event was a dynamic debate centered around the thought-provoking theme, “Will AI take over the jobs of Financial Analysts?”This discussion encouraged participants to critically examine the evolving landscape of the financial sector, particularly the growing influence of artificial intelligence and automation. Through this debate, students were prompted to reflect on the future of work in finance and recognize the increasing importance of acquiring and refining analytical competencies such as proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Python.
The Human Resource Management (HRM) Club and the Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club came together in a collaborative initiative aimed at bridging the gap between entrepreneurial vision and effective HR practices. The activity was designed to help students understand how human capital plays a pivotal role in shaping the success and sustainability of startups. Participants were tasked with selecting an existing startup, conducting in-depth research on its operations, and identifying real-world human resource challenges it encountered—such as recruitment, retention, employee engagement, and organizational culture. Based on their analysis, students were required to propose practical HR interventions and strategic solutions to address these issues. The Marketing Club and the Communi-CAT Club jointly organized an interactive session that brought together second-year students to explore the intersection of creativity, communication, and strategic thinking. The event featured a series of engaging and competitive strategic games thoughtfully designed to assess and enhance participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative abilities. Each activity challenged students to think on their feet, apply marketing insights in real time, and make swift, well-reasoned decisions under pressure. Through these dynamic tasks, participants not only sharpened their analytical and tactical planning skills but also developed essential soft skills such as leadership, adaptability, and effective team coordination.
The SMPR Club and MDQ Club jointly organized a movie screening of “The Social Network”. The film served as a creative medium to explore themes of innovation, competition, communication, and ethics in the digital era. A short open discussion followed, allowing members to share thoughts on entrepreneurship, media influence, and interpersonal dynamics.Overall, the collaborative club activities successfully combined diverse academic disciplines in an experiential learning format. Across all four collaborations, the focus remained on enhancing not only subject-specific knowledge but also vital soft skills such as teamwork, strategic thinking, adaptability, and articulate communication, thereby contributing to the students' holistic professional development.
