The Talk 8.0 was a motivational and networking event jointly organized by the Rotaract Club of Christ University, Lavasa, and the Rotaract Club of Bavdhan Pioneers on 12th October 2025 at Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune (DPU Campus). The event brought together students, faculty, and eminent speakers from diverse fields to engage in an evening of inspiration, learning, and leadership. It aimed to cultivate values of discipline, perseverance, and creativity among the youth through real-life success stories and professional insights.

The event commenced with a welcome ceremony and tea, followed by multiple keynote and motivational sessions. The lineup of speakers included ACP Sainath Thombre, who shared his remarkable journey balancing a demanding police career with his athletic pursuits; Ms. Radhika Joshi, who offered an insider’s view into the challenges and rewards of a multidisciplinary creative career; Mr. Raghunath Medge, the President of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association, who spoke on teamwork, precision, and consistency; and Mr. Manas Dewan, a global strategist and innovation leader, who explored the intersections of leadership, technology, and visionary thinking.

Through these sessions, The Talk 8.0 successfully created a dynamic platform for self-development and networking. The blend of corporate, artistic, and social perspectives enabled students to explore leadership from multiple lenses that is discipline, creativity, and innovation. Attendees actively participated in Q&A segments, gaining direct insights from the speakers’ personal experiences and philosophies.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion and a vote of thanks, emphasizing the Rotaract Club’s dedication to continuous learning and community-building. It was a significant milestone in the Talk Series, reaffirming its identity as a hub for personal and professional development while strengthening collaborations between students and professionals.


 1: Students gained exposure to diverse professional mindsets and improved their interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities through active engagement.

 2: Participants were inspired to pursue their goals with determination, discipline, and innovation, applying lessons shared by the speakers.

 3: The collaboration between the two Rotaract Clubs fostered new partnerships and enthusiasm for future editions of the Talk Series.

CHRIST values instill an attitude of gratitude in the students and despite leaving the portals of the college they never fail to express their appreciation and keep the college well informed about their achievements. It is always a pleasure to hear from ex-students and Director & Dean, Dr Fr Jossy George applauds the academic and professional success of the students in and out of the campus.
