Ignite 2025: The Detective’s Firm, The Allegory of The Unbeaten Undercover, a prestigious business fest organized by the second-year BBA cluster of the School of Business and Management, served as an introduction to department-level business fests and the CUSMBA for first-year students. The three-day event, held from Sept 30th to Oct 3rd 2024, provided a dynamic platform for participants to showcase their innovative ideas and generative thinking. Throughout the event, participants received insightful feedback and built connections with their peers and seniors.
The fest commenced with an Inaugural Ceremony on 30th September, graced by esteemed dignitaries including Fr. Justin P. Varghese (Academic Coordinator), Dr. Nikhil Varghese (Head of the Department), and Dr. Aashiek Cheriyan and Dr. Bipallab Roy (Batch Coordinators). Their motivating addresses set an enthusiastic tone for the event, inspiring participants to perform with creativity and confidence. The highlight of the inauguration was the grand trophy reveal, which added a sense of anticipation and excitement to the proceedings.
Following the ceremony, participants dispersed to their respective clubs. Seven committees—Human Resource Management, Strategic Management and Public Relations, Analytics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship Development, Munning Debating Quizzing, and Finance—each conducted three rounds of activities over the three-day event. The moderators of each club began with an introduction to their respective clubs, followed by Round 0, an engaging ice-breaking session that helped participants get comfortable and interact with one another. On the first day, Round 1 and Round 2 were conducted. Finance. MDQ, SMPR, and ED clubs had third year students joining the moderators as panelists for Round 2, while others continued under the guidance of their respective moderators. Participants showcased remarkable performances and received detailed, constructive feedback.Day two of the event commenced at 4:30 PM with the third and fourth rounds of activities. Only the teams that qualified from the previous rounds advanced to Round 3, with eliminations from Round 2 being announced on the same day. The third round featured third-year students as panelists in the Marketing, Human Resource Management (HRM), and Analytics clubs, while HRM and Entrepreneurship Development (ED) collaborated for a joint session. The fourth round saw a collaboration between the Munning Debating Quizzing (MDQ) and Marketing clubs, and faculty members participated as panelists across all clubs, adding valuable insights and professional perspectives.
At the conclusion of the rounds, the judges selected the best teams from each club based on the defined evaluation criteria. The moderators extended a vote of thanks to all participants and volunteers, appreciating their efforts and contributions toward the smooth execution of the event.
On Day 3, Ignite 2025 concluded with a valedictory cum award ceremony and a final vote of thanks, marking the end of a successful and enriching three-day experience for everyone involved. The award ceremony of Ignite 2025 celebrated the exceptional talent and teamwork displayed by participants across all committees. Each committee recognized its top-performing team for their outstanding performance, creativity, and analytical abilities throughout the multiple rounds of the event.In the Analytics Committee, the winning team comprised Devagya Singla, Abul Faiz, Thadaboyina Vaishnavi, and Soundar Pandiyan, who impressed the judges with their data-driven insights and innovative approach. The Human Resource Management (HRM) Committee winners — Ankita, Vibhanshi, Pulkit Sharma, and Evelyn — stood out for their strategic thinking and effective teamwork. Representing the Marketing Committee, Yadnesh, Achyut, and Karmanya showcased exceptional creativity and persuasive marketing strategies.
The Munning Debating Quizzing (MDQ) Committee recognized Kevan Mullan, Yuvraj Sahal, and S. Madhav Jothinatha for their sharp analytical reasoning and articulate communication, earning them not only the top position in their committee but also the overall title of “Best Team of Ignite 2025.” In the Strategic Management and Public Relations (SMPR) Committee, the winners were Aarush Srivastaa, Umang Agarwal, Sparsh Parashar, and Jatin Nanwai, who demonstrated strong leadership and problem-solving skills. The Finance Committee celebrated Tanishq, Kaif, Shreyanshi, and Palak for their financial acumen and precision, while the Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Committee honored Vedant Nagraj, Sarthak Srivastava, and Mehul Avipriya for their innovative business ideas and entrepreneurial mindset.
