CHRIST INSITUTE OF MANAGEMENT (CIM), LAVASA LAUNCHES AN INNOVATIVE CORPORATE IMMERSION PROGRAM

Christ Institute of Management (CIM), Lavasa, one of India’s emerging leading business schools launches a unique Corporate Immersion Program (CIP) with the aim of improving industry learning and engagement. CIP ensures continuous industry interaction for students in the second year of the PGDM Program, allowing them to experience and learn from various aspects of an organization in a working environment. Students apply knowledge and learning under the guidance of industry and faculty mentors, and are able to gain valuable hands-on experience by tackling real-world business scenarios and working hand-in-hand with business executives. Each week, students visit companies to immerse themselves in and study in detail the day-to-day workings of an organization. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATING BATCH OF 2018

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” – Eleanor Roosevelt Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa, recently on 9th June 2018 celebrated the graduation of the batch of 2016-2018. Dr. Fr Kurian Kachappilly, Honourable President, of Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Bangalore, chaired the convocation ceremony, along with Chief Guest Mr. Prakash Wakankar, CEO, Mahindra & Mahindra (two-wheeler division). Mr. Rony Kurien, Dr. Vedamani Gibson, and invitees from Lavasa Corporation and various guests added to the magnificence of the event. Recipients of awards in various categories on academic and overall performances included Ms. Neelakshi Jadhav (HR), Mr. Marcel Chaudhary (Marketing) and Mr Sunder Singh Solanki. (Finance) for highest Cumulative Grade Point Average and performance in academics. Ms. Sakshi Thorpe and Mr. Rubin Pawathu Roy were awarded Best Outgoing Students. Mr. John K. John , Head, Capability Development-Leadership Transitions, Reliance Industries Limited, Mumbai, spent a day at CIM, Lavasa on the 19th of June, 2018, guiding students and faculty on  how to capitalise on one’s strength. The book titled “Discover Your CliftonStrengths” from Gallup and Tom Rath entitled students and faculty to answer the 170 questions which led to the discovery of the top 5 talents of each individual. Based on the these top 5 talents one can identify their dominant domain which are Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building and Strategic Thinking. It was interesting to note that though there were more than 3 with similar talents, yet their action plan were different from each other. This is because as Mr. John says, “ We are all unique individuals with our own talents.” He further explained that the talent is just the beginning, once honed and sharpened  it becomes one’s strength.
