Book Writing Workshop

Institute of Management, School of Business and Management organized a workshop on Saturday the 24th April 2021 on "Book Writing” from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM. Prof Dipak Kumar Bhattacharyya, Professor, School of Human Resource Management, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar was the keynote speaker for the same.  Darothi Jas, a student of 2nd year MBA Human Resource Specialization took us through the entire session in an extremely graceful manner. The workshop allowed students the opportunity to acquire the skills to become more successful writers, readers, and thinkers. The workshop put emphasize analytical writing, writing to learn, the writing process, and revision. Today we commemorate World Intellectual Property Day. On a broader term, we know that intellectual property refers to copyrights, patents, etc. It’s what is common knowledge to us. But on a deeper, more extensive level, intellectual property and the rights that accompany it serves for purposes that are highly significant to businesses, innovations, and creativity. One aspect of this is how essential enforcing the same is for the protection of small and medium businesses and helping them flourish in this capitalist economy. The Department of Data Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune, Lavasa Campus, conducted a club activity on 'Skillset Development of Resume Making' on 10 April 2021 and 24 April 2021. The resource person for the session on 10 April 2021 was Ms Zahida Mariyam, Behavioural Coach, ESL Trainer, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. She began by listing down the difficulties and challenges students face while preparing their resumes for the first time. Ms Mariyam started the training with the very foundation of Resume writing, focussing on primary answers to all the w's. She explained the prime objectives of resume writing, such as: identifying the real purpose of the resume and focus on that, identifying relevant competencies, follow the strategy 'One resume not for all jobs'. The Department of Data Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, in association with the Intellectual Property Cell of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), organized a webinar on Building Awareness on IPR & Academic Integrity on 19 April 2021. Dr Debabrata Samanta, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) from the Intellectual Property Cell and Co-ordinator of IPR Cell, was the resource person for the talk. The panellists deliberated upon how to draft IPR related documents. The International Conference of Data Science, Computation and Data Security 2021 (IDSCS'21), was organized by the Department of Data Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune, Lavasa Campus - The Hub of Analytics, in association with Springer, on 16th - 17th April 2021. IDSCS'21 was a technical gathering of Data Science, Computer Science, and Data Security professionals to engage in the latest developments gaining momentum in the ever-growing global infrastructure of Computer Science. The Conference featured several invited talks and selected paper presentations.
