The Wall Street Warrior event was organized exclusively for MBA Finance Specialization students at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus on 24th September 2021 at 2:00 PM. The purpose of the event was to give a first-hand exposure to check the students’ understanding of financial statements & business valuation. The event provided the students with a hands-on experience to prepare projected financial statements and also to evaluate different business scenarios in order to design the venture strategy. The Inaugural Ceremony started with a welcome speech & briefing about the event by Faria Khan. The competition was organized on two fronts simultaneously - ‘The Entrepreneurs’ (Min 6, Max 10) & ‘The Investors’. The audience/participants were pre-classified into two groups based on their preference’s. The Litigation Committee of the Student Bar Association, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa conducted a Judgement Deliberation session on four controversial judgements in the domain of family law- marriage equality, marital rape, domestic violence and Universal Civil Code. The event titled, 'The Court is in Session' was held on Saturday, 15 May 2021 at 12:30 PM. Family is an integral part of everyone's life. The United Nations (UN) realized this during the 1980's, when it began focusing its attention on issues related to the family. 15 May was proclaimed as The International day of families by the UN General Assembly in 1993 with resolution A/RES/47/237 and reflects the importance the international community attaches to families. Panel Discussion - Genocide as a Violation of Human Rights: Revisiting Rwanda

The School of Law at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organised a movie screening and a panel discussion on Genocide as a Violation of Human Rights: Revisiting Rwanda on April 07, 2021 2.00 PM to 3.30 PM. The event was diverse and covered multiple topics under the Rwandan Genocide. The panel discussion focused on the history and the origin of the Rwandan Genocide, the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and the Rome Statute, the International Criminal Court, International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), Conflict Resolution Mechanism and on Conflict-related sexual violence that occurred during this event . Workshop on Ideation

A workshop on Ideation about Idea generation was organized by IIC - CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus on 25 September 2021. The workshop was conducted by Dr Arti Agrawal, Associate Professor, MBA. HOD-MBA Dr Becky Thomas graced the occasion with her presence and a motivational talk to the students. Total number of students who attended the meeting were around 85. The workshop started with a welcome address by Ms Rashmi Anchi, student MBA. It was very interactive and interesting. The students were given an introduction about ‘Ideation’ and a group task was conducted regarding the same. They were separated into 10 groups and were asked to discuss among the groups they belonged to and were asked about the challenges they face being in those groups. First NCC Selection (2021)

The Department of NCC, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, was proud to organize its first-ever NCC trials for the students of the academic year 2021-22. The selection process consisted of Personal Interviews and various rounds of physical tests such as 1600 M running, sit-ups, pull-ups, height, weight, etc., and a written test on current affairs and general knowledge for Senior Division and Senior Wing. The Physical selections were conducted by the Officers, Major Shubash Chandra and CHM Amarjeet Singh (NCO Training Officer) of the 36 Maharashtra Battalion, Pune Group, here at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus on Saturday, 25th September 2021. The OST (Organisational Structure Training) Competition is held every year at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa campus where handpicked students from MBA first year present their learnings from their OST at different companies. The competition was held virtually this year on 25th September 2021 on WebEx at 2:00 PM. The first-year students are expected to undergo OST at a manufacturing unit for a month before the official commencement of their MBA program. A student is free to identify a company of his/her choice. The purpose is to introduce students to concepts like organizational structure, policies, and procedures of an organization so that they can understand the working of an organization and get insights into corporate life. The inaugural ceremony of CIMA inaugural event for the academic year 2021-22 was conducted on 25th September 2021 at 3:00 PM at CHRIST(Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. It started with a welcome note by Ms Sabari Majumder. The event was attended by almost 120 students. After the welcome speech, Reverend Fr Dr Jossy P George addressed the gathering with his thoughtful words and motivated the students to participate in extra as well as co-curricular activities. It was followed by an introductory video showing what CIMA is all about and how it has been organized in the previous years. The Cultural Club in association with the Student Bar Association, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized Día Más Fresco on the theme ‘Seniors Meet Juniors’ on September 22, 2021, from 11:15 AM to 1:10 PM via Zoom to give a warm welcome to the new batch of School of Law. The primary objective of the event was to bridge the gap between the juniors and seniors through various online games, interactive sessions, open mic sessions etc. The faculty coordinators for the event were Ms Manpreet Kaur and Ms Mehak Vohra and the student conveners were Ms Vaishnavi Rastogi and Ms Harshita Bhardwaj. Housekeeping Session - Break from The Routine

CCHS (Centre for Counselling and Health Services) organized a session for the housekeeping ladies on 22nd September 2021 at the auditorium, Management block from 4:15 PM to 5:00 PM. The session began with an informal interaction over tea and samosas where they shared about what they like about their work, some shared their daily routine but all of them agreed that were so looking forward to this session. A quick round of Passing the parcel energized them and the parcel was won by Mangal. This was followed by an art based activity, where in they were divided into groups of six. Each group member had to participate by drawing and coloring a picture on the chart paper and at then create one single story , connecting all the pictures together. International Day of Democracy: A Socratic Discussion on Democracy

Vihaan 2021 was a two-day Intra-Departmental fest organised for the freshers in the department by CUCA via online platform. The fest took place in mid-September, dated 14th and 15th September. This year’s theme for the overall event was Hindu Mythology. On the date of commencement, the enthusiasm showed by the first years was commendable which could be seen throughout the various events. A total of 139 students turned up for this year’s event. Each class were divided with their respective pseudo names. For the event, the pseudonym given to 1BCOM A was Kauravas and the pseudonym for 1BCOM B was Pandavas. Karna, Navratna, Chausar, Lakshya, Mahabharat, Ardra and Vishleshika were the seven clubs of CUCA who organised interesting and mind-boggling events with a twist of Hindu mythology in them. The workshop was organised by BCOM (Financial Analytics) on 13th September 2021 from 9:30 -12:30 Noon and 1.30 - 3.30 PM by Dr Vivek Joshi, Professor of Finance, Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Corporate Consultant & Trainer. Workshop started with an introduction as to what Research stands for? The ‘what’ parameter of each sphere was to be calculated while keeping the 5W's of Research into account? A brief discussion on how exactly we can know about the target markets and business problems of the research was very well explained by the guest speaker.  Just as soon as we understood the concepts of a research project in much detail, hands-on experience was much required for the practical and thorough knowledge of the subject. The activity taught some principles on how a business problem can be decoded. Large businesses face large profits and at the same time large consequences.
