ATLAS OF COEUS

On 15 February, 2023, Wednesday, the second year BCom students of the School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, put together, ‘Atlas of Coeus’, an auditing exhibition which aimed at spreading awareness about what auditing essentially is. The tables were set up outside the happening venue, Café Concerto on a bright and sunny afternoon. Team leaders and core committee members were in charge of assigning and procuring the tables, and displayed a great deal of coordination and leadership. Each of the teams was in charge of procuring their own tables with the help of their team members. The tables were taken from the discussion area and the ones on front of the café were used too. To promote efficiency of space, we allotted a table to 2 teams. Bringing the tables down a flight of stairs was a tedious job, but the students showed coordination and teamwork while performing he same. ELYSIAN: VOGUE OF LAW

The first edition of the programme, Elysian was organised by the Students Bar Association's Arts, Culture and Theatre Committee to be held on 15 February 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Open Stage of the Central Block, University. The event began with the emcees, Prateek Singh and Annriya Liz Siji welcoming the Director and Academic Coordinator, the Head of the Department of School of Law, Judges for the event namely Ms. Mehak Vohra, Mr. Suraj Karande and Ms. Ayushi Sadana, respected faculty members and students. They introduced the theme of the event as the Vogue of Law. The theme was based on the Y2K aesthetic, which was famous for metallic fashion. The Vogue of Law was an inter-class fashion show competition conducted by the School of Law, among the First, Second, Third, and Fourth years of Law. WORKSHOP ON FINANCIAL STATEMENT ANALYSIS

A workshop on ‘Financial statement Analysis’ was conducted for the first year BCom students on 9th February 2023. The guest speaker/trainer for the session was Mr. Sarvesh Mopkar. Sarvesh is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and is a post-graduate in commerce from Pune University. He holds a Diploma in IFRS (ACCA) and also a Diploma in Systems Audit (ICAI). He has more than 12 years of expertise in the audit sector and has managed audit assignments and financial reporting challenges with a number of India's mid-sized audit consultancy businesses. Since 2018, Sarvesh has focused on teaching finance and developing content for ACCA. He has also given several hours of training for a variety of academic and non-academic courses, including IMS-Pro, Get Through Guides (UK), and International Skills Development Corporation (ISDC). CIMA VALEDICTORY CEREMONY

The School of Business and Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune, Lavasa Campus, held its valedictory ceremony of CIMA 22-23 on 13th February 2023, from 4:50 pm to 6 pm, in the central block auditorium. The workshop on Accounting Standards was conducted by CA Sarvesh Mopkar. He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and is a post-graduate in commerce from Pune University. He holds Diploma in IFRS (ACCA) and also a Diploma in Systems Audit (ICAI). He has experience of over 12 years in the audit industry and has handled financial reporting issues and audit assignments with various mid-sized audit advisory firms in India. Considering that the Pandemic caused a life-changing experience for the entire human race. This event aimed to test participants' survival skills as well as their ability to strategize their way through the events. The theme of Inspira'23 brought back memories and incidents that the participants had encountered in real life in the form of a full-fledged business event. CIMA SPORTS FEST

 Day 1 CIMA Sports Fest 2023, a much-awaited event started with Handball and Volleyball on 9th January. The game started at 5:15 pm at Football Turf, Central Block, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa.  Handball 1st Match First match was between Samurais and Spartans. The match started with a piece of brief information about the game and rules of the game. Both the teams were very strong enough and defended each other very well. Samurais was leading by 2 points in the first half. After half time 5 goals by Mamta, and Spartans won the match by 1 goal. 2nd Match  The first match was between the Knights and the Vikings. Vriddhi from the Knights scored the first goal, followed by Rispa, scoring another one for the team. After halftime, Rachel scored another goal for the team leading to a lead of 3 points.
