The session focused on various aspects of the corporate world, focusing on the
issue of automation and artificial intelligence. Mr Clifford explained how this
contributed to a new era, one where human resources can concentrate solely on
their cognitive skills and intellect. Mr Clifford addressed the need to drop
the practice of high dependence on traditional studies and start to focus on
advanced skills right from the first year in the most simplified yet admirable
manner. He wrapped up the session with a highly interactive open discussion. The
event came to an end with a group photo with Mr Clifford.
The industry connect was very informative and gave the students a glimpse into the corporate world.
The students were able to interact
directly with people from the industry and thus, acquire valuable knowledge as
to the inner workings of the industry. They were able to clear their
doubts with regard to corporate life and were encouraged to seek opportunities
with the campus. The visit also opened up possible future collaborations
with Infosys in the form of internships and more connect sessions.
