CRESCEDENT 3.0’ - A FOOTBALLER’S MARVEL

`Crescedent 3.0’, an open category Football tournament, began amidst loud cheer at Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa football ground on 23rd November 2018 and it got over on 25th November 2018. Koustav initiated the event and welcomed everyone on behalf of CIM, Lavasa. Later Sonia and Ann took over the anchoring. It was a proud moment to announce the participation of 22 football teams from various parts of the country along with two teams from CIM. Nearly 300 players exhibited their skills on the field. It was organized under the leadership of Assistant Professor Ashish Wilson and the students who worked tirelessly for the successful execution of the tournament were Joel Nishanth J, Hari Prasad, Koustav Mukhopadhyay, Marshal Sabu, Josphin T J, Jinto Kurian and Jeet Aditya Purohit. Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa hosted Genworks Power Speaker Series in Social Sciences Block Auditorium on 24th November 2018. The theme for the session was ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship challenges in Emerging markets’.       Innovation is the key to Entrepreneurship. As an aspiring entrepreneur, if a student intends to get ahead then he or she must begin to innovate. As a future leader they need innovation, but don't have the strategies in place to get the desired results. Unlike some other business strategies, innovation does not come with a clear-cut blueprint. The senior students of Marketing Department conducted a marketing club activity for Juniors on 16th November 2018 in the Conference Hall. It began with a quick recap of the previous event, Brandits under the leadership of Professor Benny, which was successful in a grand way. Everyone unanimously agreed that it paved way for future exciting events. True to marketing strategy it is absolutely necessary for an executive to be aware of all possible bands available in the market to cater to the demands along with whims and fancies of a customer. The students had to identify the tagline of certain companies. They were provided with the company's name. Next the students were divided into five groups consisting of one senior student from the marketing department to guide the team. A corporate talk was conducted by Mr. Subramanian Komal R (VP, Marketing and International Business - Whirlpool) at Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa on 17th November 2018. It is always a momentous moment for Christites to attend the talks as it inspires them to understand the corporate sector and gear up for a challenging life ahead. The corporate talk began with a silent prayer after Ann Landis welcomed the key note speaker formally. He thanked Fr Jossy for inviting him to share his experience. Mr. Subramanian also thanked his wife Laxmi profusely who has contributed significantly and in doing so he strongly asserted not to take a family for granted. VISIT OF M COM STUDENTS FROM NAIPUNNYA COLLEGE, KERALA

Christ Institute of Management, Lavasa strongly believes in staying connected with other colleges and thereby nurture deeper bonds with them. There is always a great learning experience and through mutual collaboration or partnership, it cements the bond further. 16 M COM students from Naipunnya College, Kerala visited CIM, Lavasa from Monday, 12th to Thursday, 15th November 2018 under the aegis of Campus Connect program. During a period of four days they interacted with students and faculty members of CIM, Lavasa. On 12th November 2018 Dr.Fr. Arun Antony welcomed the delegates in the Smart Room and greeted them warmly. Fr Arun wished them to be interactive and enjoy every activity that was specially designed for them. VIBES SAY IT ALL !

Someone has rightly said that sharing the same vibes can instantly connect a large number of people simultaneously. In continuation with the concept of `Better Lives, Better Vibes’ Sushmita Sakhamuri anchored an interesting program today, Saturday, 3rd November 2018 in the amphitheater.   Akhil Shukla had everyone in splits when he narrated some random personal anecdotes and everyone listened to him in rapt attention. Just when everyone is deeply engrossed in studies, preparations are going on for the upcoming exams, students are verifying notes and clarifying doubts, such an event comes as a much needed break. Akhil was amusing, natural, and spontaneous as the episodes were directly connected to the college life so everyone was able to identify with what he said.
