The Department of English and Cultural Studies conducted a Bhashadaan awareness session for 10th standard students from various schools, including MDRSSS Betbalkunda (District Bidar), Pirangut Junior College, Dasve Public School, and Disha English Medium School, among others. The session aimed to introduce students to the concept of Bhashadaan and highlight its relevance in the context of language and digital participation. The initiative also focuses on promoting inclusive and equitable quality education and encouraging lifelong learning opportunities. The session began with an engaging introduction that demonstrated how translation tools can enable communication across languages. DEAR(Drop Everything And Read)

The Library & Information Center, in association with The Readers Club, successfully organized the DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) initiative as a day-long silent reading activity aimed at promoting the habit of reading and encouraging a culture of focused learning. The event was conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., allowing participants the flexibility to join at their convenience and engage in uninterrupted reading for a minimum of 20 minutes or for extended durations. The Central Library Reading Hall was thoughtfully arranged to create a calm, quiet, and comfortable environment conducive to deep reading and concentration. Participants either brought their own books or selected reading materials from the library’s diverse collection. InBlooms ’26, organized by the Department of English and Cultural Studies in collaboration with CLAN, was a vibrant and engaging student-led event that celebrated creativity, collaboration, and community building within and beyond the department. Conceived as a platform to showcase the intellectual and cultural ethos of the department, the event brought together students, faculty, and participants from various colleges, fostering an atmosphere of exchange, visibility, and enthusiasm. Valedictory of CAPS

 On April 20, 2026, the Central Block Auditorium at Christ, Lavasa, reverberated with a shared sense of accomplishment and nostalgia during the Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS) Valedictory Ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year. The event served as a formal conclusion to a vibrant year of peer learning and professional development, celebrating the unwavering dedication of both the student body and the faculty. The ceremony commenced with a formal welcome of the distinguished dignitaries.
