The School of Business and Management (BBA), CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized a 5-Day Hybrid Faculty Development Programme on “Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems and Emerging Digital Tools for Future-Ready Business Education” from 13 May to 18 May 2026. The FDP was designed to provide faculty members with a meaningful platform to explore the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and emerging digital tools in future-ready business education. Conducted in hybrid mode, the programme enabled wider participation, with 15 online participants joining from various parts of India, along with internal faculty members and other participants attending the sessions.

The programme began on 13 May 2026 with an inaugural session, followed by an insightful session by Dr. Rajesh Khanna, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, CHRIST University, Bangalore, on “Generative AI for Teaching, Content Creation, and Academic Productivity.” The session highlighted the role of Generative AI in enhancing teaching practices, academic productivity, and content creation. On the same day, Dr. R. Kanesaraj Ramasamy, Professor, Multimedia University, Malaysia, delivered a session on Generative AI, bringing valuable international academic perspectives to the FDP.
On Day 2, Dr. Dalvin Vinoth Kumar A conducted a hands-on session on “Vibe Coding for Rapid Prototyping in Teaching and Business Contexts.” The session introduced participants to AI-assisted coding, webpage creation, Google Apps Script, dashboard development, Google Colab, Python-based BMI calculator development, and Gradio-based user interface creation. The session helped participants understand how even non-technical users can build simple and useful digital applications through well-structured prompts and AI-supported platforms.

Day 3 focused on Indian Knowledge Systems. Dr. T. V. Muralivallabhan, Director, Marian International Institute of Management, Kerala, delivered a session on IKS, followed by Dr. Ruchika Singh, Coordinator, Indian Knowledge Systems, Ministry of Education, who spoke on “Indian Knowledge System and its Importance in Higher Education.” These sessions emphasized the relevance of IKS in curriculum design, higher education, teaching philosophy, and value-based learning.
On Day 4, Dr. Bharat Dash, Acting Dean, Faculty of Eastern Knowledge Systems, Sri Sri University, and Deputy Director, Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, Sri Sri University, conducted offline sessions on “Kavya, Indian Storytelling Traditions” and “Understanding Social Media through the Lens of IKS.” His sessions connected Indian storytelling traditions, cultural knowledge, and contemporary communication practices in an engaging manner.
The FDP concluded on 18 May 2026 with a practical session by Ms. P. S. Anusha on “Power BI for Business Analytics, Data Visualization, and Decision Support,” followed by the valedictory session. Overall, the FDP successfully created a rich blend of tradition and technology, enabling faculty members to explore innovative, practical, and future-ready approaches to business education.
