INAUGURATION OF READERS' CLUB CARPE LIBRUM: READERS' ARENA

Mr Amit Nagpal, the author of the book “The elephant at the dinner table” visited the campus and it was the first offline event on the campus after the pandemic. The Inauguration of Readers Arena: Carpe Librum was conducted on 05th March 2022 at Central block Auditorium of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus There was great enthusiasm among the students to attend the event. The event started at 12:30 PM and Director Dr Fr Jossy P George gave an introductory remark on the significance of the Club and about the book authored by Mr Amit Nagpal. He encouraged the students to inculcate their reading habits and visit the library regularly. BEING AN AUTHENTIC LEADER

The library in association with the BBA department organized this guest talk for the students of BBA to develop leadership skills. Mr Emmanuel David, Former head of Tata Management and Training Centre, Pune and Adjunct Professor of National Institute of Advanced Studies, Indian Institute of Science Campus, Bengaluru - 560 012, India delivered the talk to students and faculty members. The event started with the introduction of a guest by Dr Parameswaran, Coordinator, BBA department. While the shared adventure of learning is the quintessence of our campus, so is the busy schedule of every student. At the Lavasa campus, there is always something to do, a creative project to participate in, classwork to complete, or a play to watch. In the midst of the hustle-bustle, there’s a need for a quiet place to pause, reflect, and introspect, and what better place to do so than the library? Step into the wooden doorway of the library hidden away on the first floor of the Central Block. Aisles of books stretch across both ends and a peaceful stillness fills the space.
