SDG 2030 – Interaction With Students, Educators On International Platform.

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030 . The International Relation and Foreign Policy Committee of the Student Bar Association of the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized a seminar on the Role of United Nations in a Changing World. The Seminar was to celebrate the United Nations Day which is celebrated all over the world on 24th October 2021 The Seminar was conceptualized by the Faculty member Dr Sunil John under the guidance of the Head of the Department Prof Dr Daisy Alexander. The marketing department of the School of Business and Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus conducted the latest edition of the marketing conclave event Incite 2021 on October 1st. With this conclave, it was deliberated on how marketing has evolved in a post-COVID world and how aspiring managers should be equipped to succeed in these challenging times. The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus under the guidance of Dr Daisy Alexander, Professor, and Head of Department, School of Law, organised the guest lecture titled ‘Training in Mediation and Negotiation’ by Adv Harsh Buch. The School of Law organized a program on Training in Mediation and Negotiation to facilitate the students. Mediation is one point along a continuum of problem-solving approaches a lawyer should consider in offering legal services to his clients. It develops skills to find commercially viable solutions and inspires students to focus on commercial motivation, bargaining, effective listening, communication, and human psychology. CIMA (2021-22) 2nd Competition

The 2nd competition of CIMA for the academic year 2021-22 was conducted on 21st October 2021 in CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The event started with a welcome speech by Ms Mercy Jacob. It was attended by almost 146 students. The welcome speech was followed by the FMCG video advertisements by the respective clans. The clans, then, showcased their skills in the education sector. The judges for the event were Dr Mahesh Kumar T, Dr Manjari Sharma, and Prof Amala Siby. Samurais were declared the winner in both the FMCG and Education category. The concluding speech was given by Dr Becky Thomas, HoD, MBA. It ended with a vote of thanks by Reetam Datta. It was quite an interesting and fun session for both senior and junior students. The creativity of each clan was reflected in their advertisements.

Connect Over Coffee - Your Vibes Attract Your Tribe

Connect over Coffee, in its fourth consecutive year of existence organized a special edition for Faculty and Admin staff on the 20th October 2021, 4:30 PM at Café Concerto, Management block in CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The theme being Find Your Tribe had them enjoying Conversations over Common interests like Sports, Travel, Art, Music, Movies, and Dance. Every table exchanged their stories while enjoying their coffee and cookies. The Movie tribe collectively felt PK, the Aamir Khan film was an eye-opener with respect to superstition beliefs and they were inspired by the movie Bahubali too. The highlight of the evening remained a song performance from the Music tribe and the Dance tribe took away the prize with their energetic dance performance on the Rowdy Baby song. Workshop on Developing Business Model Canvas

The workshop took place on 9 October 2021 at 2:30 PM in CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. It started with a welcome speech by Nidhi Singh. The guest of honor was Mr Arjun Panchal, founder, Papazapata- Mexican Indian Fusion. The workshop was attended by almost 150 students. The welcome speech was followed by the main session. The speaker Mr Arjun Panchalgave a brief introduction about his entrepreneurial journey and talked about different aspects of that journey. The session looked into building business canvas from scratch. Each canvas block was explained through real-life examples. This helped the students in enhancing their knowledge about the canvas as well as made the session more relevant. The resource person for the session was Mr Jelf JR, Social Activist and Member of UN Food System Summit, SDG2 Focal Point. The event was an educational talk session delivered engaging the topic of recent trends in food security in India. The informative guest talk on “Insights from Entrepreneurial Journey” started with a welcome speech by Arathy Vinod on October 8, 2021, at 3:30 PM in CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The housekeeping ladies enjoyed their monthly interaction with CCHS (Centre for Counselling and Health Services) on 14th October 2021 from 4:15 PM to 5.00 PM at the Auditorium in the Management Block of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. Initiated by CCHS, the session began with informal chatting over tea and biscuits. This was followed by a short talk on First Aid Management by Dr Arundhati Chauhan. She informed them on what can be done as an immediate first aid action for common conditions like – Fever, Acute abdomen pain, giddiness, and the common cold. The ladies were most excited about dancing to the tunes of Garba songs, as it was the last day of Navaratri. This year's agenda included a lecture by Adv Rajas Pingle, an International Cyber Law Expert, Cyber Crime, Privacy and Data Protection Lawyer, on how cybercrime investigation works and its intricacies. World Tourism Day

As part of an initiative by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus to raise awareness among the students regarding days of national and international significance, a lecture regarding the importance of World Tourism Day was held on the auspicious day itself—27th September—at 4:30 PM and ran for half an hour. The host for the event was Mr Aaron George. The guest speaker for the event was Dr Manjula Chaudhary, the Dean of Academic Affairs and Professor at the Department of Tourism and Management at Kurukshetra University.
