World Animal Welfare Day

The Student Bar Association of the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized a Guest Lecture on Animal rights in a sustainable world on October 4, 2021 at 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM to celebrate the World Animal Welfare Day. The talk is conducted with the objective to familiarize the audience on the evolution of recognizing rights of animals in modern times. The talk is titled as “Animal Rights in Sustainable World” and is delivered by Mr Alwyn Sebastin, Partner at TSA Legal, Bangalore, Karnataka.


Students and Faculty members attended the session through zoom and had an interactive session. Students were able to explore the rights of animals and create a relationship between human development and the animals in today’s environment.


Our faculty member Ms Amrutha Valavi introduced the guest for the session. The concluding remarks was delivered by Dr Sunil John. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr Sadanand, on behalf of the School of Law.
