Orientation 2022 - MBA 2022

  As part of the inauguration and welcoming of the new incoming batch. The School of Business and management, MBA organized a one day batch orientation workshop for the incoming batch of MBA 2022-24. The event was planned by faculty in charge Prof Stanny along with the resource person Dr. Jibrael Jos. The intention of the batch orientation was to make the new batch feel welcome and break the ice. The session was conducted in the management block auditorium. The space was earmarked without chairs so that the students can play games and participate. The 2022 Batch orientation had a strength of 74 students of which 9 students were absent. The event started with a silent prayer and invoking the blessings of the almighty. Marketing Monks Club Launch Activities

The annual launch of the Marketing club for 2022 was preceded by a week-long set of activities. The event was held in presence of Prof Jobin Jacob, Prof Stanny Dias, and Prof. Tanya Sharma the faculty members of marketing specialization. The event was organized by students of the MBA marketing Department under the guidance of the faculties.  Students of 1st year MBA and 2nd year Marketing students took part in the event enthusiastically. The event was organized by the Marketing Department and lasted for 4 days which included various activities like flashmob, competitions, movie night, sports events, and food stalls for sales. The students’ team was there throughout the event to ensure the smooth functioning of the different parts of the events. Back to School - MBA 2022

  Each year the school of Business and Management organises the annual event called back to school where fresher’s are welcomed by the seniors and the entire event is planned and executed by the senior students in coordination with the faculty in charge. In 2022, School of Business and Management (MBA), CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa, with enthusiasm and energy, welcomed the batch of 2022-24 on their fresher’s night ‘Back to School’. The show was planned and hosted by the senior batch of 2021-23. Seniors of all specializations including Marketing, HR, Finance and Business Analytics were involved in the planning and execution of the event. The theme for the evening was Character Night. Students dressed up like their favourite characters in Hollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood, etc. The event started at 6.30 pm with the seniors welcoming the juniors in the management block auditorium with a welcome drink. Into the Mind of a Writer (Creative Writing Workshop)

The Department of Languages, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, in collaboration with the Readers’ Club, organised a creative writing workshop ‘Into the Mind of a Writer.’ The resource person for the workshop was Dr Hilda David, who is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce and the Coordinator at the Symbiosis Centre for Liberal Arts. With a PhD in English Literature from the University of Pune, Dr Hilda has around 20 years of experience in the teaching profession. She has also conducted many creative writing courses and soft skills workshops at various institutes. A teacher, guide, philosopher, friend, confidante and much more, she is a very versatile and creative person who profoundly impacts others’ life.  The event started with a Welcome Note by Vryshin Ram (2nd Yr BCom). VIHAAN 2022

  VIHAAN 2022 was an intra-departmental business fest organized for the first-year BCOM students by the Christ University Commerce Association (CUCA). The event took place on 2nd September 2022 in the Christ Institute of Management Block. The theme for the event was ‘post-apocalyptic’ with the tagline: Rise from the Dead. A total of 104 first-year students participated in the event with much enthusiasm and gusto. The inauguration ceremony began at 9:00 AM with the address from the MC, Merin Thomas, welcoming the students to the event. Ayushee Gupta, the CUCA student coordinator, then briefed the freshers regarding CUCA and its various clubs. This was followed by the presidential address from Fr Justin Varghese, the Academic Coordinator, and then the address by the Head of the Department, Dr Vandana Bhagat.
