Back to School - MBA 2022

Each year the school of Business and Management organises the annual event called back to school where fresher’s are welcomed by the seniors and the entire event is planned and executed by the senior students in coordination with the faculty in charge. In 2022, School of Business and Management (MBA), CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Pune Lavasa, with enthusiasm and energy, welcomed the batch of 2022-24 on their fresher’s night ‘Back to School’. The show was planned and hosted by the senior batch of 2021-23. Seniors of all specializations including Marketing, HR, Finance and Business Analytics were involved in the planning and execution of the event. The theme for the evening was Character Night. Students dressed up like their favourite characters in Hollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood, etc.



The event started at 6.30 pm with the seniors welcoming the juniors in the management block auditorium with a welcome drink. The dignitaries were seated in the front two rows including the management and the faculty. The actual event started with a silent prayer and invoking the blessings of the almighty. Next the Emcees set the agenda with some punchy quotes. The entertainment for the evening started with an in-house band performance which comprised of students from all specialisations and the lead singer was Rikin Renny. The performance was appreciated by all juniors and they joined in the singing. Deep from finance specialization performed 2 solo songs along with the band. Few games were conducted like bursting your opponent’s balloon and enactment of a situation. The juniors performed to a group dance which was well appreciated. Then the most awaited event of Mr and Ms Fresher was started with a ramp walk, followed by character enactment and then finally 4 were selected of the 12 participants. Janet, Harikrishnan, Sanskar and Ishika gupta were the finalist. The final round included playback of a recorded video and a solo talent performance. The judges were inhouse faculty members of School of Business and Management.  Harikrishanan and Janet were declared Mr. and Ms. Fresher by the HoD Dr. Becky and they were handed their Sach and Gift voucher. The formal event culminated with Solo dance by Shivhari and group dance by the seniors. Next the students were free to take selfie at the designated selfie counter. Dinner was served near the amphitheatre and there was a DJ performance where the students grooved to the music.The event ended with a happy note by 10 pm.The event concluded with happy faces, excited for the academic year.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
