Club Inauguration

On 29th September, the students from the MBA department of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), School of Business and Management, organised the inaugural ceremony for MBA Specialization Clubs namely Marketing Monks, Harmoney, Cadre and Business Analytica. Each club was inaugurated, followed by a video showing the activities conducted within the club. Marketing Club: The Marketing Club “Marketing Monks” was introduced by Ms Naba and Mr Aditya with an introductory video highlighting all the glimpses of the marketing activities conducted by the club one week before and also followed by awarding the winners of the sales competition, which was conducted last year. Students were also awarded Mavericks 2022. Students were awarded for winning the football match in between the inaugural ceremony.  Finance Club: The Finance Club “Harmoney” was introduced by Mr Shaurya and Ms Lalitha with a small video highlighting finance club activities conducted last year. GREENVASA

As Mahatma Gandhi said, "There is enough for everybody's need but not for everybody's greed". Inspired by this sustainability message, the management, faculty, and the students of the School of Business and Management, MBA, CHRIST(Deemed-to-be-University), Pune Lavasa Campus launched the sustainability initiative called GREENVASA. It is a way of living sustainably in the picturesque town of LAVASA, Pune. It is a small step at the University to conserve resources and a small step in the direction to reduce our carbon footprint. The concept, very simply put, is to buy and sell quality second-hand goods within the University to avoid wasteful spending and reduce future waste. Our proprietary technology can sell things that have an extended life to your fellow students or staff. It’s a platform built by the students, for the students. Inauguration Ceremony - CIMA (22-23)

 Another year of CIMA competitions began with the inaugural ceremony for the academic year 2022-23. The event was held on 03/10/2022 at 5:00 PM in the MBA block auditorium. CIMA is a clan-based competitive event where all the students are divided into four clans - Vikings, Knights, Spartans, and Samurais. During one academic year, they compete in various events, and at the end of the year, the clan which scores the most emerges as the champion clan. The teamwork and sportsmanship of each clan are exhibited throughout the year in various activities and tasks performed by the clan members.  The ceremony started with a silent prayer followed by a welcome note by Faizan Ahmed. The first Annual Intra-Departmental Debate Competition was conducted from 28th to 30th September, 2022 by  ARTIBUS- The MUNing, Debating & Quizzing Club in association with Christ University School of Business and Management Association (CUSBMA), a department-level student body that conducts fests for the BBA (Business Analytics) department.  The Annual Intra-Departmental Debate Competition was a three day event that consisted of several rounds in the form of Argumentative Essays, Formal Sessions and Harvard Style of Debating on the theme of Eco-Sensitivity. This event was held with the main aim of helping students expand their existing knowledge and emphasize on factual information while inculcating research habit. Hydra Athletic Meet '22

The Department of Physical Education, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized the University's Hydra Athletics Meet 2022 for several indoor sports, games and athletics events in order to engage the students during the mundane monsoon season. Students who were unable to play because of the rains, took initiative in many different sports outside their usual field of interest. The meet reflected the students' grit, vigor and alertness, without undue fatigue and with ample energy to enjoy leisure-time pursuits and to meet competitive spirits of the games. This meet was organized from 29th August - 7th September 2022. The various events were conducted based on the specific rules and regulations laid down for them. 5 departments participated in this meet the departments are as follows: 1. Orientation For Corporate Connect on Marketing and Product Management

The orientation session conducted on 17th September 2022, which was the first event of the Corporate Connect series of CHRIST University School of Business and Management (CUSBMA), Lavasa- Pune campus was addressed by Mr. Anirudh Venkitaraman. The accomplished expert explained in a very lucid way of all key areas that are essential for a business organization to take into consideration such as product development strategy through roadmaps, competitor analysis, market size and revenue potential, product cannibalization, defining the consumer segment, consumer retaining and maximizing market share were also discussed. Art Extravaganza’22

Art Extravaganza’22 was conducted on 1st October 2022.  The event was held in Gazebo, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa Campus. Fr. Jossy P. George, the dean and director of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa was invited along with other faculty members to cut the ribbon and inaugurate the event in the presence of the entire student body of CUSBMA including the senior representatives, junior representatives, CUSBMA DDTMCL, the club presidents, vice presidents, and event managers. The event started in the presence of faculty members, Mr. Akhil Kulkarni and Ms. Anna Anjaly Joy.
