Guest Lecture on Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, Pattern Recognition in Banking

The world is changing, Business is changing. A new generation of employees is forcing organizations to rethink how work is done, the rise of big data is providing business leaders with access to more information than ever before, and globalization has opened up new opportunities as well as new risks for businesses. Finance professionals are now relying on a new breed of analytics tools that make big data more easily accessible, including machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation tools. Over the years, technology has reshaped business functions and accounting is no different. The impact of rapid advances in automation technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), integrated platforms, cloud-based software, and an explosion of data are felt in the finance world. Proceedings of the Guest Lecture: The event began at 3.00 PM with the welcome address delivered by Dr. Mahesh Kumar T, Programme Coordinator, B. Com (Financial Analytics) & commenced the Guest Lecture. The guest speaker for the evening was CA Pavandeep Singh Duggal, an adjunct professor at PIBM with several years’ worth of experience in the fields of corporate banking, finance, and education. The speaker detailed the usage of Emerging Technologies, covering topics such as:

1.Artificial Intelligence

2. FinTech

3. Pattern Recognition in Banking

The Invited Talk ran for One & a half hour, concluding at 04:30 PM. The speaker dug from his vast reserves of knowledge and experience to enlighten the students on several topics pertaining to the field which gave them much-needed clarity regarding the future semesters of their course. The session ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Ankita of 1 BCom B, School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy. Ms Ankita thank the management, the organizer, the guest speaker and the attendees.

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
