The session was designed to introduce students to the concept of Bhashadaan and highlight its relevance in the areas of language, digital participation, and inclusive education, while fostering a broader commitment to lifelong learning opportunities. The session opened with an engaging introduction that demonstrated how translation tools can effectively bridge language barriers in everyday life. Using the relatable example of a person unfamiliar with Hindi employing digital tools to both speak and understand the language, the facilitator immediately captured student interest and made the concept accessible to a diverse audience. DEAR(Drop Everything And Read)

The Library & Information Center, in association with The Readers Club, successfully organized the DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) initiative as a day-long silent reading activity aimed at promoting the habit of reading and encouraging a culture of focused learning. The event was conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., allowing participants the flexibility to join at their convenience and engage in uninterrupted reading for a minimum of 20 minutes or for extended durations. The Central Library Reading Hall was thoughtfully arranged to create a calm, quiet, and comfortable environment conducive to deep reading and concentration. Participants either brought their own books or selected reading materials from the library’s diverse collection. The reading materials included academic texts, novels, biographies, autobiographies, and self-development books, catering to varied interests and preferences.
