The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Alternative Pedagogies for the 21st Century Humanities Classroom” was organised by the Department of English and Cultural Studies, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, from 15 to 19 June 2026. The programme was conducted as a five-day faculty development initiative with the objective of strengthening pedagogical practices in humanities education and encouraging faculty members to explore innovative, participatory and multimodal approaches to teaching and learning. On April 24, 2026, the School of Business and Management (BBA) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, successfully hosted Fathom ’26. Organized in collaboration with The Artibus MDQ Club, this dynamic interdepartmental parliamentary debate took place in the Smart Room of the Central Block. Coordinated by student leaders Mr. Sanskar Garg and Ms. Sneha Gaur alongside Faculty Coordinator Prof. Ucchita Sharma, the competition saw active participation from 31 attendees. The necessity for this initiative stemmed from an observed gap in practical opportunities for students who hold strong theoretical foundations but lack a suitable forum for real-world political engagement. On 18 April 2026, students of the Service Management course participated in a field visit to Phoenix The Mall of Millennium in Wakad, Pune as part of their Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA). The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to service management concepts and to help them understand the role of service recovery in enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. The visit also aimed to enable students to apply classroom theories such as the GAPs Model, Service Blueprinting, and the 7Ps of Marketing in a real-world service environment. During the visit to Pune, students worked in groups and selected different service outlets within the mall, including food and beverage outlets, retail stores, entertainment service providers, and more.
