Campuses are often defined by their academic milestones, lectures, and semester deadlines, yet the most enduring transformation occurs when young scholars look beyond textbooks and ask how their talents can serve the wider community. On 31 August and 01 September 2026, that vibrant sense of shared responsibility came alive at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, as the Centre for Social Action hosted its signature orientation festival, CSA DAY 2026, anchored by the rallying theme “Together We Can.” Spanning two engaging afternoons across the campus grounds, the event witnessed an extraordinary turnout of curious, motivated students eager to discover the social heart of their university.
The journey commenced outdoors at the scenic Amphitheatre in the Management Block before shifting for its second phase into the lively Activity Hub within the Central Block. Both venues were thoughtfully transformed from routine academic spaces into an open, welcoming marketplace of social dialogue and civic discovery. Rather than relying on formal stage speeches or passive presentations, the initiative was built entirely around interactive cohort stalls. These stalls offered visitors an unhurried, welcoming setting where they could explore the diverse community development interventions led by the Centre throughout the academic calendar.
For many attendees, particularly incoming batches, the exhibition served as an eye-opening window into the rural geography surrounding Lavasa and the Dasve valley. Student volunteers and cohort coordinators shared firsthand narratives of grassroots engagements, describing the lived realities, socio-economic challenges, and cultural strengths of nearby village settlements. These discussions brought an authentic local context to the forefront, dismantling detached preconceptions and showing attendees how proximate, immediate, and meaningful community action truly is.
At each vibrant desk, visitors encountered the beating heart of the Centre: its student-led cohorts.
