The School of Business and Management – BBA, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized the BBA Freshers’ event “BON VOYAGE – BBA FRESHERS’ 2026” on 3 September 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Activity Hub. The event was organized to formally welcome the new cohort of BBA students and provide them with an engaging platform to interact with their peers, faculty members, and the wider university community.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the newly admitted students, followed by the opening remarks by the emcees. The event was graced by the presence of Fr Justin, Coordinator, and Dr. Monica L., Head of the Department, whose addresses highlighted the importance of beginning the university journey with enthusiasm, openness, discipline, and a spirit of collaboration. Their messages encouraged the freshers to make meaningful use of the academic, professional, and extracurricular opportunities available at the University.
The event featured a diverse range of activities designed to promote student engagement and interaction. Cultural performances, including dance and musical presentations, added vibrancy to the programme and provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents. Interactive activities such as the Five-Ball Game encouraged participation, teamwork, spontaneity, and peer interaction. These activities helped create a friendly and inclusive environment for students who were beginning their university journey.A major highlight of the programme was the ramp walk and interview round, which provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their confidence, communication skills, personality, and stage presence. The activity was conducted in an energetic and engaging atmosphere, with enthusiastic participation from the students. The programme culminated in the Mr. and Miss Fresher felicitation, recognizing students who distinguished themselves through their confidence, presentation, personality, and participation in the various rounds.
The event also provided an important platform for students to build social connections beyond the classroom. Through collaborative games, cultural performances, and informal interactions, the programme facilitated peer bonding and helped create a sense of belonging among the new students. Such initiatives are particularly valuable during the transition from school to university, as they help students become familiar with their new academic and social environment.Beyond entertainment, the event served an important social and developmental purpose. The formal programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the support and contributions of the University leadership, faculty members, student coordinators, volunteers, participants, and everyone involved in organizing the event. The evening continued with a DJ and celebration session, allowing students to interact informally and celebrate the beginning of their BBA journey together.
Overall, “BON VOYAGE – BBA FRESHERS’ 2026” was a vibrant and engaging welcome programme that successfully brought together the new BBA cohort. The event provided students with opportunities for interaction, self-expression, cultural participation, and relationship building.
