COMCLAVE 2026
COMCLAVE 2026 was a finance fest organised jointly by the Department of Commerce, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa, and CHRIST College, exclusively for the BCom students of CHRIST College. The fest was designed to provide students with an engaging platform to apply their academic knowledge in practical and competitive settings while developing essential skills in business analysis, entrepreneurship, communication, decision-making, strategic thinking and teamwork. The event featured four competitions—Case Craft, Shark Tank, Kahoot, and Boardroom—and received an impressive 223 participant registrations across the events.
Case Craft was a strategic case study competition that challenged participants to analyse complex, real-world business situations and develop practical solutions. Participants examined quantitative information, evaluated market and competitive conditions, identified key business challenges and proposed data-driven recommendations. The competition encouraged structured problem-solving, financial reasoning, risk assessment and strategic thinking. Participants also had the opportunity to present and defend their recommendations before a panel of judges, helping them develop the ability to communicate business solutions clearly and persuasively within a limited timeframe.
Shark Tank provided an entrepreneurial platform for students to present innovative business ideas, products and startup concepts. Participants developed and presented their value propositions, target markets, revenue models, growth strategies and funding requirements. The pitching format required them to communicate their ideas concisely while responding to questions from the judging panel. Participants were challenged to demonstrate innovation, business clarity, financial feasibility, market understanding and the ability to defend their assumptions. The event encouraged students to approach entrepreneurship from both creative and business perspectives.Kahoot added an interactive and energetic dimension to the fest through a fast-paced business and general knowledge quiz. Participants were tested on areas including current affairs, global business trends, brands, marketing, economics and business-related knowledge. The live digital format required participants to combine quick recall with accuracy and rapid decision-making. Multiple rounds with varying levels of difficulty created an engaging competitive environment while encouraging students to broaden their awareness of contemporary business developments.
Boardroom focused on developing practical interpersonal and managerial skills through challenging and dynamic situations. The competition tested participants’ negotiation, communication, teamwork, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities within limited time constraints. Unexpected situations and changing circumstances required participants to think on their feet, adapt quickly and maintain composure under pressure. Participants demonstrated their ability to defend ideas, persuade others, manage difficult situations and respond creatively to emerging challenges. The event provided a valuable opportunity for students to recognise and demonstrate their individual strengths while working collaboratively.
Overall, COMCLAVE 2026 successfully brought together diverse dimensions of commerce, finance, business and management through a combination of analytical, entrepreneurial, knowledge-based and experiential competitions. With 223 registrations, the fest provided students with opportunities to move beyond classroom learning and apply their knowledge in realistic and competitive situations. The four events collectively encouraged participants to develop confidence, creativity, financial awareness, analytical reasoning, communication and leadership skills. The fest also fostered healthy competition, peer learning and active engagement among students, making COMCLAVE 2026 a meaningful platform for experiential learning and holistic skill development.
