Th Club Investiture Ceremony

The Club Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, marked the formal induction of the newly appointed student leaders across 25 University Clubs. Held on 12 September 2026 at the Auditorium, Central Block, the ceremony celebrated the beginning of a new journey centred on leadership, responsibility, service and student engagement.

The ceremony commenced with the settling of the gathering and a moment of silence, allowing everyone to pause and reflect before the proceedings began. This was followed by the formal opening and welcome, setting the tone for an occasion that recognised the responsibility entrusted to the newly appointed student leaders.

The gathering then acknowledged the presence of the University leadership, faculty members, club coordinators, staff and students. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp formally commenced the occasion, symbolising light, wisdom and knowledge and reflecting the role of leadership in inspiring and guiding others.

The programme continued with the Welcome Address by Mr. Javed Khan, Club Coordinator - University Clubs, followed by an address by the Student Affairs Coordinator, Dr. Fr. Peter M. V. Their words highlighted the importance of taking responsibility, working collaboratively and contributing meaningfully to the student community.

The ceremony then featured an address by the Chief Guest, Ms. Ananya Nitin Deore, who shared her thoughts and experiences with the student leaders. Her presence added a meaningful dimension to the occasion and encouraged the newly appointed leaders as they began their leadership journey.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the distribution of appointment letters. The appointment letters formally recognised the students in their respective leadership positions and represented the trust and responsibility entrusted to them. The occasion served as a reminder that leadership extends beyond a title and is reflected through commitment, action and contribution.

This was followed by the Oath-Taking Ceremony, led by Ms. Ankita Panda, Student President. The newly appointed club leaders pledged to fulfil their responsibilities with integrity, dedication, teamwork and commitment. The oath reinforced their responsibility towards their clubs, fellow students and the University community.

The ceremony continued with the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Ms. Ananya Nitin Deore, by Fr. Justin as a gesture of appreciation and honour.

The formal proceedings concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Nishika J. Lawrence, Assistant Club Coordinator, acknowledging the support and contributions of the dignitaries, faculty members, coordinators, organising team, staff and students who made the ceremony possible.

The event concluded with the CHRIST University Anthem, followed by closing remarks and an official group photograph with the dignitaries, faculty members, club coordinators and newly appointed student leaders.

The Club Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 was more than a formal induction. It marked the beginning of a new chapter for the student leaders of 25 University Clubs, giving them an opportunity to take ownership, develop their leadership skills and contribute actively to campus life.

As they begin their tenure, these student leaders carry with them not only a position, but also a responsibility - to lead with purpose, work with others, serve the student community and create a positive impact through their actions.
