CAPS Investiture Ceremony 2026

The Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized the CAPS Investiture Ceremony 2026 on 18th September 2026 at the Seminar hall , Management Block. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly appointed CAPS student leadership team for the academic year 2026–27 and celebrated the transition of responsibilities to a new group of student leaders committed to contributing to the Centre’s academic and professional development initiatives.

The Investiture Ceremony represented an important milestone in the functioning of CAPS, providing a formal platform to recognize and empower students who have undertaken leadership responsibilities within the Centre. The occasion highlighted the values of responsibility, accountability, teamwork, collaboration and service, which form an essential foundation for effective student leadership. By assuming their respective roles, the newly appointed team leads took on the responsibility of contributing actively to the planning and execution of CAPS initiatives throughout the academic year.

The newly appointed office bearers for the academic year 2026–2027 were formally introduced during the ceremony. Raji Chitra assumed the role of Student Council Representative, while Harinath SU and Priyanshi Anjane were appointed for Operations. The Public Relations and Media team comprised Divyani and Prachi Kumari, while Nupoor Bhute took responsibility for Research. The Connect Wide team included Rituj Jaiswal and Krishnapriya Menon. The Peer Trainers teams were represented by Vanshika for one-on-one training and Nicole Earl and Muhsina Muhammed for classroom training. Nava Yauvan Srinivas was appointed for Content Generation and Quality Control.

A significant moment of the ceremony was the Oath Taking, through which the newly appointed leaders formally affirmed their commitment to serving the Centre for Academic and Professional Support. The oath emphasised integrity, humility, dedication, collaboration, respect and inclusivity. The student leaders also pledged to continue learning, support the academic and professional growth of their peers and contribute to a culture of excellence and holistic development within the University.

The ceremony also presented a glimpse of the initiatives planned by CAPS for the academic year. The proposed activities reflected the Centre's focus on strengthening students' academic capabilities, professional competencies, creativity and personal development. These included a Canva Workshop, Power BI Certification, Knowing Yourself, Level Up Your Professional Game, Athenora Carnival, Bridging Horizons, Clay Modelling, Mid-Sem Re-CAPS, Family Business and Management, Product Management with Generative and Agentic AI, and Pause & Refresh. Together, these initiatives demonstrate the breadth of opportunities envisioned for students through CAPS during the year.

The Future Vision 2026–2027 presented during the ceremony provided a direction for the new team as it undertakes its responsibilities. With different teams contributing across operations, research, peer training, communications, outreach and content development, CAPS aims to create a collaborative environment in which students can participate, learn and contribute meaningfully.

The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks, Closing and the CHRIST University Anthem, bringing together the formal proceedings and marking the commencement of the new team's journey.

The CAPS Investiture Ceremony 2026–2027 thus marked more than the formal appointment of student leaders. It represented the beginning of a year centered on responsibility, collaboration, continuous learning and student development. With the newly appointed office bearers taking forward their respective responsibilities, CAPS looks ahead to a year of purposeful initiatives that support academic growth, professional preparedness, peer learning and holistic student engagement.

As the newly appointed team leads commenced their responsibilities, the Investiture Ceremony marked the beginning of a year shaped by collaboration, initiative and purposeful action. With a shared commitment to academic and professional excellence, the new CAPS leadership team looks forward to contributing to a vibrant student community and creating meaningful opportunities for learning, engagement and development throughout the academic year 2026–27.
