The fun continues for Brandits 3.0

With nearly 228 hours more to go the tempo is building up, the enthusiasm is gaining momentum and the competition spirit can be seen among the students. The number of activities which the students are performing with zeal and zest, as part of Brand Initiatives, are surprisingly increasing. This shows their unbridled enthusiasm. Furthermore, despite the downpour, Team A's performance in the Amphitheatre yesterday, was awesome as their Street Play was highly appreciated. The daily score update is an example of the student's involvement and creativity. Team A displayed sweetness in a unique way. Their activity was about giving Eclairs with the intention of bringing smile on the receiver's face. A relaxing free massage was another hit. A session on corporate talk was organized for MBA students in Management Block, CIML on 30 th July 2019. The guest speaker was Mr Anurag Garg, Country Head Powertrain India at Emitec Emission, a group company of Continental, Pune. His skills include manufacturing, automotive and product development. He was Continental Ambassador for Army Institute of Technology, Maharashtra. He is also Business Unit Head, Sensor & Actuators, Pune. He worked as Business Unit Head - Fuel Exhaust Management - FM - India & Asean, Pune. He was responsible for P&L for Business Unit Fuel Supply System India & Asean. It has been rightly said that 'A task well begun is half done!' Undoubtedly, flash mob dance performed on 29 th July 2019 was the first of its kind. It caught everyone’s attention. An impeccable benchmark has been set for the entire session. Despite exams the students managed to take out time to plan, rehearse and present a thrilling flash mob dance. It showed their commitment towards taking active part in a program. All the teams devised ways and means of coming up with new ideas to have an edge over the others. The corridors came alive with enthusiastic students moving round with an aim, a purpose and an exciting idea to fetch points for their respective teams.  The moments which stole the show were genuine gestures of care and concern for each other. Brandits 3.0, the most awaited festival season is back with a bang. This time it will be a Fortnight Festival from Monday, 29 th  July 2019) to Wednesday, 8 th  August 2019 and the theme is `Marketing Sustainability’. Orientation Program For Law Students

An orientation program began in the Auditorium, Central Block, Lavasa for new students of Law on 29th July 2019. The week long program will be conducted from 29th July 2019 to 3rd August 2019 by a panel of experts. Director & Dean Fr Jossy George was also present on the occasion. Fr Jossy encouraged them to make the most of the orientation program and think of ways and means to look forward with optimism as they move forward. It was a pleasure to welcome Adv Chanchal Choudhary whose qualifications range from doing B Com, CQE, PGHRM, MBA, LLM to being a PhD scholar (Law). His vast experience includes two decades of corporate practice holding senior most positions in managing entire gamut of back end support functions which includes Finance & Accounts, Direct & Indirect Taxation, HR & Admin, Training, Purchase, Stores, QMS etc. He appears in Bombay High Court regularly and other High Courts and Supreme Court occasionally on the complex legal issu

Inauguration of School of Law In Lavasa Creates History

It was a proud moment for the august gathering to witness the inauguration of School of Law, Lavasa on 27th July 2019 in the Central Block, CHRIST, (Deemed to be University), Lavasa.  History was created in Lavasa with the launch of School of Law. Each Law student is fortunate to be a part of such a historic moment. By virtue of being the first batch of School of Law they are the privileged ones as they will be the trend setters for future students. While it rained outside the mild drizzle to heavy downpour made everything look incredibly beautiful. It appeared as if heavenly blessings were bestowed upon the college. Heaven and earth were adorned with an enchanting look and everyone was spellbound by the ambience. The event began with invocation of God and customary lighting of lamp by the dignitaries while the choir sang the invocation song, 'There shall be showers of blessings...Mercy drops round us are falling, but for the showers we plead!'.

Orientation Program for BBA and B Com Students on CISI

There is a constant need and necessity to update oneself with the latest information about the corporate sector. Owing to the constant change in the world of business, the knowledge and skill set possessed by an individual also needs to be honed at frequent intervals.  An orientation program was organized for BBA and B Com students on 22 nd July 2019 in the Central Block of CHRIST, Lavasa. It was conducted in coordination with CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment). It is a UK body that certifies the knowledge of candidates especially in the domain of global finance. They offer modules, for which examinations are held and once a student passes the examination he/she is qualified to get CISI membership.  The guests who visited were Mr Kevin Moore, Mr Ganesh Iyer, Mr Girish Iyer, Mr Jasneet Bindra and Dr Amarjeet Singh.  It was a great learning experience for the students and they asked some very important and relevant question

Fabulous Fresher’s Party - “MIXPAH”

It was a wonderful evening when CHRIST fraternity assembled for an exciting Fresher’s Party for the undergraduates. It began with an introduction to the “Bohemian” Theme which was clearly reflected in their costume. The theme of the Fresher’s party for UG students was ‘Bohemian’. The students made maximum usage of floral prints, garlands or flowers to create the right ambience and get in touch with nature. The young gorgeous girls looked pretty and charming while the handsome boys did not lag behind in doing justice to the theme. Everyone eyed for the coveted title of Mr and Ms Best Dressed. The audience was introduced to the meaning of `IMIXPAH’ which means an emotional bond between people. The most unique part about the party was that it was given for the students and by the students since it is the very first batch of undergraduates. The visit to Infosys BPM, Pune was an enriching experience altogether for all HR major and minor students as they got a meaningful insight into HR practices being followed in Infosys.
