It was a moment of great pride and honour to host Dr Ivory Lyons, Professor, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Mount Union Alliance, Ohio at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa on 15th July 2019. He held discussion about American culture with management students and briefed them about it.
He fondly recalled visiting the beautiful city of Lavasa in 2015 with Fr Viju. He was awestruck by the pristine beauty of this enchanting city nestled in the Sahyadri Hills. He loved the rain and he was able to understand that rain is not just torrential in nature but it can also be mild and gentle, which has a calming effect on tired nerves. He also felt that nature performs its feats and the ambience creates a magical impact in the mind and heart of a traveler.
Dr Ivory Lyons expressed his satisfaction to see CHRIST shaping as an emerging college and he is positive that soon it will carve a niche for itself in the education sector. The journey of four years has been quite challenging and he is sure that in no time CHRIST will attract many more students. He anticipates the challenges which lie ahead and under the able guidance of Director & Dean, Dr Fr Jossy George and Dr Fr Arun Antony, Academic Coordinator the college will reach the pinnacles of success.

Dr Ivory Lyons was visibly disturbed by the dirt and squalor in the country but he is hopeful that residents of Lavasa have enough civic sense to keep the city spick and span. He is hopeful that the cleanliness drive will be well maintained in the city and the students will emulate the habit of keeping the surrounding neat and clean.
Dr Ivory Lyons further added that discipline is a key factor and massive campaigns are required to drive across the point. According to him cleanliness is of paramount importance and students have to work in sync with the management and follow the rules rigidly. Dr Ivory Lyons expressed his hope that if each student or a faculty member does his/her individual bit, then it can have a radical effect on the environment. 


The future of the beautiful city lies in the hands of the young generation and they have to take it forward by cooperating with the management. The teachers have an added duty to emulate what they preach and work in close coordination with the students to retain the beauty of the enchanting campus.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
