The Department of Physical Education at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organised a ‘Virtual Run ' on Sunday, 24th July 2022 for the students to encourage and develop the habit of running, maintaining a healthy body and mind with the main motto of the event is "Don’t race against others, race against yourself." Centre for Social Action (CSA) organized Project Pradhan: Creating a brighter tomorrow at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. We say Sharing is Caring; Project Pradhan was initiated to familiarize the students with the joy of giving to the underprivileged. The project aimed at providing essential items to the children in the community and other indigents. The primary focus was collecting stationery items like clothes, books, or any items that could be useful to the community members. The project also focused on developing a cooperative mentality among the student community. Pradhan in Marathi means Provide. The project was implemented to collect essential stationery items from the students and faculty of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, and provide them to underprivileged around the village and school children. The Department of Data science organized an Environment Awareness program – Tree Plantation Drive on 05th June 2022 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. Led by United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP), World Environment Day has been held on the 5th of June every year since 1973. It is regarded as the biggest international day for the environment and has now grown to be the largest global platform for environmental outreach. People across the globe join in to make attempts to protect and preserve the planet. With a similar aim, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa Pune Campus conducted a Tree Plantation activity in the amphitheatre. Led by Dr Kaushik, two trees were planted by Fr Jossy P George.
