To foster the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, Christ University Lavasa, Pune has established an IIC council and E-cell in the university. The inaugural ceremony of IIC E-CELL was organized on 20th August 2021 at 4 pm. The ceremony started with a warm welcome address by Dr. Becky Thomas, Head- Research and coordinator- MBA. Dr. Thomas discussed the focus of Indian government on setting up  incubators nationwide and role of higher educational institute as part of IICs. Mr. Vishal Thakur, HR at TATA Capital, conducted a Placement Training Session for HR and Finance students on 17th August 2021. It was a very informative and interactive session. Mr. Vishal stressed upon few major points that students need to keep in mind while appearing for interviews. He talked about how it is important to understand why a particular question is being asked and what the interviewer would be expecting out of it instead of just answering it like a direct question paper. For example, for the most common question “Tell me something about yourself”, the candidate must answer with interesting information that is not mentioned in the resume or CV, instead of saying the very same points. The introduction must always be well prepared and practiced. Students must listen to the questions correctly and completely. CENTER FOR EMERGING BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES (CEBT), CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Lavasa conducted a workshop to raise awareness regarding Quantum computing's potential on 28-May -2021. This one-day workshop was vital to bridge the gap between conceptual and real-world applications. This workshop served as a platform to bring together theorists and practitioners in this area.  The introductory session was conducted by Mr. Pawel Gora, President, Quantum AI Foundation, on ‘Quantum Computing.’ This was followed by a discussion on the business applications of Quantum Computing by Mr. Alex Khan, Principal Advisor - Quantum Computing, Aligned IT LLC.
