AARAMBH 2026 – SRISHTI

AARAMBH 2026 – SRISHTI brought together creativity, cultural expression and teamwork through an engaging Cultural Face-off at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.

Organised by the Department of Statistics and Data Science and the Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the School of Sciences Student’s Association (SSA), the event provided students with a platform to explore their creativity and participate in an interdisciplinary cultural experience. The event was conducted on 18 September 2026 at the Activity Hub, Central Block. 

The Cultural Face-off was designed as an interdisciplinary cultural competition bringing together four expressive forms—Dance, Drama, Music and Fashion. The activity provided students with an opportunity to combine different forms of artistic expression while working collaboratively towards a common presentation.

Five Themes, One Creative Platform

A distinctive feature of the Cultural Face-off was its thematic structure. The participating teams represented five elements:

Fire | Water | Wind | Earth | Ice

Each team worked around its assigned theme and prepared a creative presentation reflecting the character and identity of that element. This structure encouraged students to interpret their themes through different forms of cultural expression and to bring together creativity, coordination and performance.

The combination of Dance, Drama, Music and Fashion created a diverse platform for students to express their ideas and showcase their creative abilities. 

Creativity Beyond the Classroom

SRISHTI provided students with an opportunity to step beyond the conventional classroom environment and engage in an experience centred on creativity and collaboration.

Preparing a thematic cultural presentation requires students to work together, exchange ideas, coordinate responsibilities and contribute towards a shared outcome. Through the Cultural Face-off, students were encouraged to develop and demonstrate important interpersonal qualities such as teamwork, leadership, communication, coordination and confidence.

The event also encouraged interaction among students from different disciplines and cohorts, creating a common platform where students could connect through cultural and creative activities.

Where Teamwork Met Artistic Expression

One of the central aspects of the Cultural Face-off was the emphasis on collaboration.

Rather than focusing only on individual talent, the activity encouraged students to work collectively as teams. Developing a presentation around a common theme required coordination between different forms of performance and creative expression.

The themes of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Ice offered teams a framework within which they could explore their creativity, while the inclusion of Dance, Drama, Music and Fashion allowed them to approach their presentations from multiple artistic perspectives.

This combination made SRISHTI a platform for students to experience how individual creativity can be transformed into a collective expression through teamwork and coordination.

Encouraging Confidence and Communication

Cultural activities provide students with opportunities to develop skills that complement their academic learning. The Cultural Face-off encouraged students to communicate ideas, coordinate with their peers and present their creative work in a shared setting.

The activity specifically aimed to promote:

These aspects formed an important part of the purpose of the Cultural Face-off as outlined in the event report. 

Building Connections Through Culture

AARAMBH 2026 – SRISHTI also reflected the importance of creating opportunities for students from different academic backgrounds to interact and collaborate.

The collaboration between the Department of Statistics and Data Science, Department of Computer Science and the School of Sciences Student’s Association created a common platform for student engagement. 

Through a shared cultural experience, students were encouraged to interact beyond the boundaries of their individual disciplines and cohorts. Such platforms contribute to a vibrant campus environment where academic learning is complemented by cultural participation and peer engagement.

An Evening of Expression, Energy and Team Spirit

Held from 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM, the Cultural Face-off formed the central activity of AARAMBH 2026 – SRISHTI. The event brought together multiple dimensions of cultural expression within a single thematic competition. 

With five elemental themes and four creative forms—Dance, Drama, Music and Fashion—the activity provided students with a structured yet expressive platform to bring their ideas to life.

The event emphasised that cultural engagement is not only about performance but also about the processes behind it—planning, collaboration, communication, coordination and collective effort.

Celebrating the Spirit of Student Participation

AARAMBH 2026 – SRISHTI exemplified the role of cultural activities in creating meaningful student experiences on campus. The Cultural Face-off offered students a space to express themselves, work with peers and participate in an interdisciplinary cultural activity.

By bringing together different forms of artistic expression and thematic creativity, the event created an environment that encouraged students to explore their talents while developing collaborative and interpersonal skills.

AARAMBH 2026 – SRISHTI was a celebration of creativity, cultural expression and collaboration. Through the Cultural Face-off, students were brought together around the themes of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Ice, with Dance, Drama, Music and Fashion providing the creative avenues for expression.

More than a cultural competition, the event provided a platform for students to collaborate, communicate, coordinate and express their creativity. It also encouraged interaction among students from different disciplines and cohorts, contributing to a more connected and vibrant campus experience.

The event reflected the spirit of AARAMBH—beginning, participation and creative expression—through a shared celebration of student talent and teamwork.
