Centre for Social Action (CSA) Investiture Ceremony
Cultivating Compassion and Commitment: The CSA Investiture Ceremony 2026–27
Every new academic year brings a fresh wave of energy, renewed purpose, and a collective commitment to creating lasting social change. For the Centre for Social Action (CSA), this journey officially took flight during our Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–27, held on 11th September 2026 at the Smart Room. It was an afternoon filled with profound reflections, inspiring interactions, and the formal handover of responsibilities to a passionate new batch of student leaders ready to champion grassroots community development and meaningful action. A cornerstone of the event was the heartfelt address delivered by Fr. Peter, Student Affairs Coordinator. Speaking with deep warmth and unwavering encouragement, he shared his profound appreciation for the vital impact CSA continues to make on campus and in surrounding communities. His words resonated deeply with everyone present as he wished the student body a wonderful, transformative year ahead—one filled with boundless joy, personal growth, and impactful service. His presence and encouraging message reminded us that true social work begins with a compassionate heart and a deeply supportive community network. The afternoon grew even more special with the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Milind Thatte, Director of the Teer Foundation and the visionary driving force behind the Vayam movement. Appointed by the Government of Maharashtra as an Expert Member of the State Tribal Advisory Council, Mr. Thatte brought a wealth of grassroots experience and profound wisdom to the gathering. Meeting him was an unforgettable experience for all of us. Despite his immense achievements and
public acclaim, he is a remarkably grounded, humble, and inspiring leader. His address challenged us to look beyond conventional boundaries, listen intently to rural and tribal communities, and approach social service with genuine empathy, integrity, and respect. Building upon this profound inspiration, the ceremony marked the official induction of our new team of student leaders. Passing the baton to these bright, dedicated minds is always a moment of immense pride. This new cohort embodies the spirit of selflessness and leadership, ready to guide our volunteers through upcoming outreach initiatives, educational drives, and community engagement camps. They are not merely holding administrative titles; they are stepping forward as catalysts for positive change, equipped to steer our various community projects with creativity, dedication, and responsibility. As we look back at the investiture, we are reminded that social work is an ongoing, beautiful journey of mutual learning and giving. The collective energy in the Smart Room—fueled by Fr. Peter’s blessing, Mr. Thatte’s wisdom, and the vibrant enthusiasm of our newly inducted leaders—has set a magnificent tone for the year. We step into the months ahead with renewed vigor, ready to nurture community engagement, foster sustainable development, and embrace every opportunity to make a difference. Here is to a phenomenal year of action, growth, and shared compassion. Looking forward, our campus community stands ready to translate these powerful moments into concrete deeds. The enthusiasm witnessed during the ceremony reflects a deep-rooted commitment among our students to uplift society. By collaborating closely with local villages, empowering self-help groups, and organizing impactful camps, we aim to bridge divides and foster inclusive growth. Every volunteer and leader represents a beacon of hope, proving that collective small steps can spark monumental shifts. Together, let us walk this path of service with unwavering dedication, transforming our shared vision into a reality that inspires generations to come.
