Tamasha Night

Freshers' Fiesta was organised by the Inclusiverse Club for the freshers of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, with the objective of creating a welcoming, interactive, and inclusive environment for students as they began their university journey. The event provided an informal platform for students to interact with their peers, participate in engaging activities, showcase their creativity and talents, and develop meaningful interpersonal connections beyond the classroom.

The event was planned to support the social integration of freshers and help them become more comfortable within the campus community. As students transition into a new academic environment, opportunities for informal interaction can help them build peer relationships and develop confidence in participating in campus activities. Freshers' Fiesta created such an opportunity through a combination of recreational games, interactive activities, and talent-based performances.

The event featured engaging activities such as Blindfold Battle, Pass the Parcel, and Three-Legged Race. The Blindfold Battle encouraged participants to develop trust, communication, coordination, sensory awareness, and quick thinking while completing assigned challenges. Pass the Parcel created an energetic and spontaneous environment where participants responded to fun challenges, encouraging confidence, creativity, audience interaction, and active participation. The Three-Legged Race was conducted as a pair-based activity requiring participants to coordinate their movements, communicate effectively, and work together to successfully complete the race. These activities promoted teamwork, cooperation, spontaneity, and healthy competition while allowing students to interact with peers in an informal setting.

Freshers' Fiesta also provided students with a platform to showcase their talents through music, dance, acting, poetry, mimicry, and other forms of performance. The talent segment encouraged creative expression and gave students an opportunity to present their abilities before their peers. It also helped participants overcome hesitation, build confidence, and appreciate the diverse talents present within the student community. By providing different forms of participation, the event allowed students with varied interests and abilities to contribute to the programme.

Student volunteers played an important role in the planning and execution of the event. They were assigned responsibilities related to participant coordination, activity management, explaining rules, facilitating games, managing the sequence of activities, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Their involvement encouraged responsibility, leadership, communication, coordination, and teamwork while providing practical exposure to event management and student engagement.

The event Freshers' Fiesta promoted values such as inclusivity, respect, teamwork, cooperation, fairness, confidence, empathy, and responsible participation. It encouraged students to interact respectfully, appreciate different forms of expression, follow rules, and participate in the spirit of healthy competition. The event also reflected the broader objective of the Inclusiverse Club of creating opportunities where students can connect, participate, and celebrate individual uniqueness within a supportive community.
