Orientation 2022 - MBA 2022

As part of the inauguration and welcoming of the new incoming batch. The School of Business and management, MBA organized a one day batch orientation workshop for the incoming batch of MBA 2022-24. The event was planned by faculty in charge Prof Stanny along with the resource person Dr. Jibrael Jos. The intention of the batch orientation was to make the new batch feel welcome and break the ice. The session was conducted in the management block auditorium. The space was earmarked without chairs so that the students can play games and participate. The 2022 Batch orientation had a strength of 74 students of which 9 students were absent. The event started with a silent prayer and invoking the blessings of the almighty. Next Prof Stanny introduced the resource speaker to the students. The floor was handed over to the resource person. Class teachers for section A and B were also present during the inaugural part of the session. The event started with mini-individual activities - an introduction by students and the organizer. The workshop included activities that were to be performed by individual students, including group activities of groups of 5 to 6 students. Students were given the words to act on them, which were to enhance or locate the individual skill through these activities.

It allowed them to know about the qualities they possess but never worked upon. Later the class was divided into two groups to play “antakshari”.  Later a competition amongst students was conducted where each group had to sing two songs. It helped the students to improve their coordination. It was an interesting ice-breaking session. Post break, the resource person gave a task that included an  activity to make an infographic (which includes drawing and sketching own goals, skills, strengths, weaknesses, etc. One of the activities involved a dancing session to specific songs. The students had a good laugh and enjoyed the moment; it was really a bonding session for all of them. At the end of the session, students shared the skills learned through the activities conducted. The overall day was filled with new learnings. The resource person also shared a feedback form with the students to understand their
feedback. At the end of the session the Director Fr Jossy joined the group and congratulated all the participants. The students returned with high energy and full of enthusiasm to their homes with hopes of a bright academic year going forward.

Each session concluded with a Q& A session and feedback
