Valedictory of CAPS

On April 20, 2026, the Central Block Auditorium at Christ, Lavasa, reverberated with a shared sense of accomplishment and nostalgia during the Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS) Valedictory Ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year. The event served as a formal conclusion to a vibrant year of peer learning and professional development, celebrating the unwavering dedication of both the student body and the faculty.

The ceremony commenced with a formal welcome of the distinguished dignitaries. The gathering was graced by the presence of the respected Dean and Director, Father Lijo Thomas; esteemed Associate Deans, Dr. Parmeshwaran S; and the dedicated CAPS Coordinators, Mrs. Anjali and Ms. Mansha. Following the introductions, a solemn moment of silence was observed by the entire auditorium, setting a respectful and reflective tone for the program. The Master of Ceremonies (MC) then delivered the opening remarks, officially kicking off the proceedings with warmth and enthusiasm.

Taking the stage, Dean and Director Father Lijo Thomas delivered an inspiring keynote address. He commended the CAPS team for their commitment to fostering a culture of holistic development and academic excellence within the campus. His speech seamlessly transitioned into one of the most anticipated segments of the day: the Certificate Awarding Ceremony. During this time, the hard work, leadership, and operational excellence of the student volunteers were officially recognized and rewarded.

The momentum continued with insightful addresses from the faculty mentors. Ms. Mansha took the podium to share her thoughts, expressing immense pride in the committee's successes over the past year. Shortly after, Dr. Parmeshwaran S—affectionately known to the students as Param Sir—delivered an engaging speech. He highlighted the long-term value of the professional competencies cultivated through CAPS, encouraging the outgoing members to leverage these exact skills in their future corporate and academic endeavours.

Transitioning into a more nostalgic phase, the audience was treated to a beautifully curated video showcasing the highlights and behind-the-scenes moments of the past year. This visual recap brought smiles and cheers, perfectly setting the stage for Yash Goyal, who delivered a heartfelt "Last Year Reflection." Yash articulated the collective journey of the team, outlining the hurdles they overcame and the milestones they achieved together.

This sentiment was further amplified during the "Experience Sharing" session. Three students—Madhav, Atidi Jhariot, and Austin Prakash each took the stage to reflect on their personal growth. They spoke candidly about the challenges they navigated, the friendships they built, and the profound, transformative impact CAPS had on their university lives.

As the afternoon drew to a close, Yasir Khan and Ms. Anjali delivered the Vote of Thanks. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the university management, the faculty guides, the technical and support staff, and every student who contributed to making the 2025-2026 tenure a resounding success. The CAPS Valedictory Ceremony concluded on a high note, leaving attendees with a deep sense of fulfilment and a proud legacy to carry forward.
