Lights, camera, action! At Christ University, Lavasa, we are proud to announce the launch of our new film club - The MacGuffin Club. As the "hub of analytics," we are now venturing into a new art form to analyze and appreciate the art of filmmaking.


As students, we are always busy with classes, assignments, and exams. But in the midst of all the chaos, we must never forget to appreciate the finer things in life, like art. Movies are a form of art that can take us on a journey through different worlds, cultures, and experiences. They have the power to transport us to different times and places, and evoke emotions that we never thought possible.


The MacGuffin Club is a platform for passionate movie lovers to come together and share their love for cinema. Through regular movie screenings and discussions, we aim to appreciate the art of filmmaking in all its glory. From the camera angles to the music score, every element plays a crucial role in making a movie unforgettable.



As the famous movie director, Martin Scorsese, once said, "Cinema is a matter of what's in the frame and what's out." Every frame in a movie tells a story, and every shot is carefully crafted to evoke a specific emotion. Through The MacGuffin Club, we hope to delve deeper into the world of cinema and understand the magic behind the scenes.


The name 'MacGuffin' may sound enigmatic, but it's a poetic name for a club like ours. In cinema, a MacGuffin is a plot device that drives the story forward. It's that one thing that the characters are after - a treasure, a person, or an object - that keeps the audience hooked to the story. Similarly, our club is that MacGuffin that brings together people with a shared love for movies and provides a platform to appreciate, analyze, and discuss cinema.



Through this club, we hope to foster a community of movie lovers who can appreciate cinema not just as entertainment but as an art form. We invite all passionate movie lovers to be a part of this community, to share their love for cinema, and to appreciate the art of filmmaking. Come join us on this journey of cinematic exploration, and let's discover the magic of movies together!

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. Dr Samiksha Shukla welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, Vice-Chancellor and the keynote speakers for the day and summarized forthcoming events of IDSCS'22.
