SOCIAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ‘CYBERSECURITY AND ITS FUTURE’

The Department of Data Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, in collaboration with CyberPeace Foundation (CPF), organized a social awareness programme on 'Cybersecurity and Its Future' on 28 August 2021 from 12.00 PM - 01.00 PM. The resource person for the event was Mr Mayank Jha, Senior Consultant, Academic Initiative, CyberPeace Foundation. The event was attended by around 225 participants, consisting of students and faculty members.  The programme was also graced by the presence of Dr Fr Jossy P George, Director and Dean, CHRIST(Deemed to be University), Pune.

The programme commenced at 12.00 PM, with Prof. Ruchika Rai welcoming the participants and introducing the speaker, Mr Mayank Jha. Mr Mayank Jha aimed to answer two questions through his talk: 'What is CyberSecurity?' and 'What is the need to be aware of it as a global netizen?'.  He began the discussion by giving a brief introduction to the organization CyberPeace Foundation and what the aim of the organization is.  He elaborated about the future of Cyber Security, emphasizing its challenges and opportunities in the future. He discussed the various terms such as Cloud, VPN, breach and DDoS etc, associated with cyber security, explaining each in detail and how to avoid falling trap to them.  

He then moved on to present the names of some of the cyber security companies and their security. He delineated the cyber security policies and risk management.  

At the end of the talk, Mr Mayank Jha clarified the queries raised by the audience in the question and answer session. The session concluded with Prof. Ruchika Rai delivering a vote of thanks, thus bring the event to an end.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM.
