Inaugural Session of Finance Club “ HARMONEY”

The Finance Club “Harmoney” organized a guest talk on 27th August, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. on Cisco Webex Platform. Thepro topic for the talk was "FinoVista: Pre-adapting to the New Age Career Choices in Finance.” The idea behind the talk was to provide a brief idea about the new age career choices in finance and how the students can prepare themselves for the same. The event started with Sarah’s introduction about the speaker Mr Chukwuemeka Joseph and followed by a discussion. Both, senior as well as the junior batch of the MBA department were present for the event. The talk started with various career choices in finance industry, followed by:

• Skills needed in the finance industry

• Effect of Covid-19 on the finance industry

• Challenges in the finance industry

• The role of Risk Management in Finance

• Summary of Key Drivers in the “new normal”

• Certification vs Actual work experience

• Trends in financial markets

A Q&A session followed the talk, with students clarifying their doubts. The event ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr Aman Kumar Karna. It was a learning experience for both the volunteers and students. They became aware of the importance of new age career choices in finance and the requirements for their preparation. The event was organized by Mr Piyush Kumar and Ms Faria Khan and was volunteered by Ms Sarah D’souza and Mr Aman Kumar Karna, under the guidance of Dr Vaishali Jain.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
