AGILE HR

A webinar was organized by Prof Sharad Gupta and Prof Dr Jayant Mahajan on Agile HR and the guest speaker was Ms V Lakshmi Chirravuri.

Ms Lakshmi started the session by discussing the current business landscape i.e., VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) and how it is both dynamic and disruptive. She explained how Agile enables organizations to cope with continuous change and provides sustainability. She shared the results of the research done by Deloitte in the year 2018 and 2019 about companies rapidly becoming agile. She said that Agile is more of a mindset and is all about delivering value to the customers and indulging in a continuous feedback loop.  She further discussed how HR is now outdated and organizations are considering “People Operations/ PeopleOps/ Human Capital.” She also discussed the following major aspects of “The Paradigm Shift”:

1. Growth Mindset:

  • Cultivate a passion for learning
  • Put efforts to achieve mastery and success
2. Human-centric Approach:
  • Gain a deeper understanding of users
  • Fuse empathy, compassion, and rationality
3. Agile Practices:
  •  Deliver value to stakeholders / customers
  • Work in short cycles (sprints)
  • Frequent feedback loops
She shared the information about more than 40 Agile methods currently used in the market.

Ms. Lakshmi ended her session with the following four important aspects of APF (Agile PeopleOps Framework) Value Realization:
  • Enhanced human-centric experience
  • Streamlined and value-driven PeopleOps process
  • Better cross- functional collaboration, and feedback
  • Meaningful conversations and transparency.
The session was very interactive and the students learnt something outside their syllabus for which they were very happy and thankful.
