Book Writing Workshop

Institute of Management, School of Business and Management organized a workshop on Saturday the 24th April 2021 on "Book Writing” from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM. Prof Dipak Kumar Bhattacharyya, Professor, School of Human Resource Management, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar was the keynote speaker for the same. 

Darothi Jas, a student of 2nd year MBA Human Resource Specialization took us through the entire session in an extremely graceful manner. The workshop allowed students the opportunity to acquire the skills to become more successful writers, readers, and thinkers. The workshop put emphasize analytical writing, writing to learn, the writing process, and revision. Prof Dipak Kumar Bhattacharyya concentrated on improving the clarity, organization, and grammar and concept development and investigated how improving writing style can enhance understanding of course content. 



Prof Dipak Kumar Bhattacharyya made the session highly interactive and informative by explaining the key components of book writing. He took us through components such as:

  1. Painting a canvas. 

  2. Creating content. 

  3. Writing chapters. 

  4. Practical suggestions.

Each of the four components was explained thoroughly to improve the understanding of each and every student in terms of what is the right way to go about writing an informative book. 

The session ended with a Q&A - that allowed the students to clear their doubts and try and improve their conceptual knowledge. The workshop was well organized by the faculty-in-charge Professor Anshul Saxena and Prof Sharad Gupta students and we certainly thank Prof Dipak Kumar Bhattacharyya for taking his time out and spending his time educating the students.
