Christmas Message from the Director
Season’s greetings to all!
Christmas is upon us, and soon, so will the New Year. This goes without saying, but the year 2020 has left a devastating impact on the lives of so many of us. With the pandemic situation, few of us have been fortunate enough to be well and in good health, while others have not. It has been a task to hold classes online, both for the students and teachers, and work our way through the situation to the best of our abilities. Many of our first-year students are yet to even see the beautiful place and campus that they are a part of. But in spite of all these hardships that we’ve had to face, it is indeed remarkable that we have fought against all adversities with undefeated enthusiasm and hard work. That being said I think it’s important to realize and be grateful for the blessings of the past year. In the midst of the current virtual mode of education, we managed to come as one and celebrate togetherness and joy through events like Darpan, Cul-Rah and various other department-specific events. I appreciate and applaud the absolute zeal and commitment shown by everyone involved in these events. It wasn’t an easy task and yet everybody rose to the occasion wonderfully. I’m proud of the CHRIST family, and I urge you to carry the Christite spirit with you through to the next year as well. Let’s hope and pray for things to get better and have all of you on campus with us soon.
I hope each of you will take some time to think about the year gone by and reflect on it. Think about how you’ve changed and grown not just as a student, but as a person. Think about the moments in the past year that gave you joy, gave you a sense of purpose. Think about the things that you are grateful for, for the people that make a difference in your life, your family, friends, loved ones, and I hope, your teachers as well. Because that is the true spirit of Christmas – one of gratitude, peace and togetherness. In the face of adversities, it is the strength of relationships and the humanity within us that help us to persevere and rise against difficult odds.
On this note, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
